KB "Panorama" has developed GIS "Panorama" version 15.5.6. This version includes improved means for processing remote sensing data, automatic image recognition, and detection of unregistered features. Tools for creating and updating digital terrain maps have been enhanced. A task for deploying UAV detection and Electronic Warfare (EW) assets has been added. The geodetic and cadastral toolset now includes enhanced data collection and reporting tools for describing the location of boundaries of objects from the boundary register. Automated report generation has been implemented for agroforestry and agrophytomelioration surveys in accordance with Russian Ministry of Agriculture Order No. 225 dated April 26, 2024.

In the "Multispectral Image Analysis" task, new functions for calculating the EVI, CVI, and GNDVI vegetation indices have been added. These indices are designed for assessing vegetation state, identifying crop stress, and analyzing green cover density from satellite and UAV imagery. EVI is used for dense vegetation and biomass assessment, being less sensitive to atmospheric interference and soil background than classic NDVI, and works better in areas with dense vegetation. It uses Blue, Red, and Near-Infrared (NIR) channels, calculated as: EVI = G * (NIR - Red) / (NIR + C1 * Red - C2 * Blue + L), where G, C1, C2, L are user-adjustable coefficients. Practical EVI ranges: below 0 (water, snow, shadows), 0-0.2 (bare soil/sparse vegetation), 0.2-0.5 (moderate vegetation), above 0.5 (dense vegetation). CVI focuses on chlorophyll content, identifying early signs of plant stress, moisture deficit, and nitrogen deficiency. It uses Green, Red, and NIR channels: CVI = (NIR * Red) / (Green^2). Practical CVI ranges: 0-1 (soil/sparse vegetation), 1-5 (moderate vegetation), above 5 (active green biomass). GNDVI serves to assess photosynthetic activity and chlorophyll content, more sensitive to early-stage changes than NDVI, using Green and NIR channels: GNDVI = (NIR - Green) / (NIR + Green). Practical GNDVI ranges: below 0 (water, shadows, non-vegetated surfaces), 0-0.2 (sparse vegetation), 0.2-0.5 (moderate vegetation), above 0.5 (active dense vegetation). Display can use predefined grayscale/color palettes or load from RSW/MTQ files. Display changes apply to all open multispectral images by default. The vegetation index map can also be saved as an MTQ quality matrix. Multispectral images are loaded via: "File – Import raster and matrix from ... – Rasters (BMP, TIFF, JPEG ...)".

In the "Automatic image recognition" and "Search for unregistered features" tasks, functions for saving recognition parameters and managing processing requests have been added. These changes aim to reduce manual operations and improve usability when processing large areas. When selecting an output area "By feature," the selected feature's contour is sent to the server with the request. Upon final processing, all recognized features are automatically clipped to the original contour boundary. This allows interpretation strictly within the boundaries of a selected feature (rather than a rectangular area), useful for processing administrative parcels and cadastral contours. A mechanism for saving recognition profiles in JSON format has been added. All parameters, including neural network model, recognizable object class, and advanced vectorization parameters, are automatically saved when the dialog is closed and restored on next launch. Furthermore, "Save Profile" and "Load Profile" buttons allow transferring settings between workstations or using pre-prepared parameter sets for different data types. In the "Search for unregistered features" task, the option to select reference features using a map filter has been added. After setting the filter, matching features are automatically highlighted on the map, simplifying source data control before processing. Selected objects are also saved in the recognition profile and restored on next launch. For easier request list management, the ability to delete completed requests via context menu has been implemented, keeping the processing list current and speeding up result retrieval. The "Copy layer to map" command has also been added, allowing recognition results to be transferred directly onto the current map. If the recognized layer was generated for the same map, objects are automatically recoded from the panvision.rsc classifier to the current map's classifier.

The "Automatic image recognition" task is designed to identify buildings, roads, water bodies, agricultural land, forestry features, and vehicles in satellite and aerial imagery. The "Search for unregistered features" task additionally compares recognition results with a reference map to identify features missing in the source data.

Retrieval and display of terrain data via the OGC WCS protocol has been accelerated. Visualization considers the current map scale: tiles corresponding to the current zoom level are requested from the server for faster display. However, for analytical operations—terrain profile construction, point query, and other computations—data from the highest available resolution is always used. Connecting to GIS WebService SE allows rapid height data retrieval for the entire globe. For instance, the GEBCO layer with 15-arc-second resolution includes ocean bathymetry data, seafloor topography, underwater feature names, and land/ice surface elevation data.

In the "Map Editor" task, a new mode "Construction of a geodesic arc" has been added. This mode is intended for creating an arc object defined by three points: center, start, and end. If the map supports geodetic coordinate calculation, constructions are performed on the ellipsoid; if not, in the map's planar rectangular coordinate system. When creating a new feature by keyboard coordinate input, geometry node point coordinates can also be loaded from SHP, OGC GML, or GeoJSON exchange format files.

A mode "Create features from sub-features" has been added to create area and linear features based on inner contours of one or more selected features. Upon activation, the user selects the type of feature to create, then chooses an area feature containing sub-features. New features will be created for each inner contour of the selected feature. To create features from sub-features of multiple features, those area features must be selected before activating the mode. Feature selection can be done via the "Map feature search" dialog or other selection methods.

A mode "Delete sub-features within area" has been added. This mode allows deleting sub-features of area features and additional contours of linear features within a user-defined area. When processing multipolygons, inner and outer sub-features are deleted, except the main contour. To use: select the editable feature, draw an arbitrary contour defining the area (finish with a double left-click), and sub-features within the selected feature are deleted. Drawing additional areas for the selected feature repeats deletion in the new area.

The "Emergency Forecast" system has been enhanced with a "Component for controlling air object detection and EW assets" and a "Dam break wave modeling" mode. The component optimizes the placement of reconnaissance assets (visual or radar for low-altitude air objects) and radio-electronic warfare means within a designated positional area. It includes a database of Russian radars and EW systems (such as Polyana, MGLA–04m, Peroed-S, Gipnoz-103, Volna 2, Volna 3, Volna-Khrust 360, GBSH 950) aimed at suppressing UAV control channels, satellite navigation (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou), and providing spoofed coordinates for UAV disorientation. The "Dam break wave modeling" mode calculates the propagation of a flood wave in case of a dam/dike failure, generating a flood wave advance graph, a map, and a flood inundation matrix.

In the "Report Designer" task, a mode for overlaying a geodetic coordinate grid on a map inset frame has been added. The coordinate grid is formed with spacing specified in the task parameters dialog. A frame is created around the map inset, with latitude and longitude values for the generated grid lines. Rebuilding is automatic when editing the inset contour or its content (scale change, move, rotate). A new toolbar is added for the "Edit inset content" mode, appearing upon activation, containing auxiliary modes accessible via right-click menu or hotkeys.

The full-screen map display mode, "Interactive Whiteboard", has been enhanced. Designed for quickly adding simple objects to maps during briefings and presentations, it supports input via touch screens or mouse, creating various graphic objects, rotating the map, and saving screenshots to PNG, JPG, TIF, BMP. The task is launched from: "Window – Full Screen (Alt+Enter)."

The application task "Construction of minimum altitude map" has been improved. It automatically generates a minimum altitude map from obstacle maps and terrain elevation matrices. The minimum altitude map contains labels for minimum safe flight altitudes and most dangerous objects within cells of a specified size. An intermediate output is a terrain elevation map with cell contours colored according to standard hypsometry and containing absolute maximum height values per cell in attributes. Additionally, a point object indicates the location of the maximum height within each cell. Maximum cell height can be calculated using MORA rules (strictly within cell boundaries) or AMA rules (within cell plus an 8 km buffer zone). New version features: significantly increased processing speed for elevation matrices, improved user interface, and the ability to select a map area for minimum altitude map creation. Elevation matrices from web services via WCS protocol are supported. Generated maps are applicable in the Aeronautical Information Preparation Suite.

In the "Export map to CSV, TXT, XYH, XLSX" dialog, the ability to export feature attribute tables to HTML and DBF formats has been added. HTML provides convenient tabular data representation for web browsers and report preparation; DBF enables further processing in various information systems, databases, and specialized software. Expanding the supported format list simplifies data exchange between different software packages and enhances usability of cartographic outputs.

In the "Cadastral Documents" task, the "Description of boundary location" mode now processes objects from the boundary register: settlements, territorial zones, specially protected natural areas, zones with special conditions of territory use, agricultural land, and forest park green belts. The program analyzes the cadastral object type, reads necessary map data, and generates text boundary descriptions. Descriptions for settlements, territorial zones, specially protected areas, and zones with special conditions follow forms approved by Ministry of Economic Development Order No. 650 (Nov 23, 2018). Agricultural land descriptions follow Rosreestr Order No. P/0339/25 (Sept 19, 2025). Forest park green belt descriptions follow Rosreestr Order No. P/0230 (June 21, 2023). In the "Cadastral object attributes" mode, it is now possible to select a document from the cadastral works database to automatically populate information on land category, permitted use, property address, and access provision. The list of attributes for certain cadastral object categories has been expanded. The "View and edit XML file" dialog has been updated, allowing analysis and processing of generated electronic cadastral documents, including map (plan) of land management object, boundary plan, territory map-plan, technical plan, property inspection act, etc. The XML content displays as a tree of elements and attributes; selecting a specific tree node allows modifying element and attribute values.

The "Territory map-plan" mode has been updated for XML generation according to version 01. Address element now includes OKATO and OKTMO data. The Area element automatically fills the Formula value based on program settings if not specified in the property's semantics. The cadastral works database management tools and their use in cadastral document generation have been enhanced. The address table structure used for populating physical and legal entity information has been updated. Address division type accounting ensures synchronization between the cadastral works database and the State Address Register database. In the "Parcel location diagram on the CTP" dialog, the authority name can now be selected from a directory. The "Map (plan) of land management object" dialog now displays information on formed parts in the participant and sub-participant list.

In the "Geodetic Editor" task, the "Fill report for object" mode has been enhanced to generate two new reports: an inspection report for agroforestry plantings and an inspection report for agrophytomeliorative plantings. The program analyzes map objects of specified types, reads their metrics and semantics, and populates the report according to Russian Ministry of Agriculture Order No. 225 dated April 26, 2024. The "Coordinate system mapping file settings" dialog now includes reading information on coordinate systems from XML extracts from the state forest register regarding forest blocks and forest inventory subdivisions.

The new version is available for download in the Download section.

Specialists of KB "Panorama" have prepared a video tutorial on creating thematic maps based on Rosstat data using a Python script within GIS "Panorama". The "Thematic Mapping Based on Rosstat Data" task is designed for the automated construction of a map of the Russian Federation with regions colored according to socio-economic indicators published on the Rosstat website in the form of summary tables.

Current summary tables from the website are downloaded using the "Get" command. If data was downloaded earlier, the desired type of monitoring of the socio-economic situation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation can be selected from the drop-down list without re-downloading. To update previously downloaded information, an "Update" button is provided.

The video demonstrates the process of creating a thematic map based on Rosstat data: from selecting a statistical table and indicator to the automatic formation of color gradation and display of results on the map. It shows how a legend, color gradations, range value labels, and a map title (generated from the selected indicator and units of measurement) are automatically added to the generated map. Special attention is paid to automating the design of thematic maps and preparing cartographic materials without manual operations for setting up classifications and legends.

The generated thematic map provides a visual comparison of Rosstat indicators with the territories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. This approach is convenient for monitoring the socio-economic development of regions, preparing analytical materials, reports, presentations for government authorities, and subsequent design of cartographic products.

Using the script reduces labor costs for preparing thematic maps, enhances the visual presentation of statistical data, and ensures a unified approach to thematic mapping based on official statistics. The video materials can be found in the "Video Tutorials" section.

Specialists of KB "Panorama" have prepared a video tutorial on configuring the automatic saving of digital maps in GIS "Panorama". The training material demonstrates the operation of the "Auto-Save Map" task, designed for creating backup copies of locally stored maps during editing.

Auto-save allows users to preserve their work results and, if necessary, revert to a previous state of the map. This is particularly important during prolonged editing, digital modeling, geodetic design, urban planning, and cadastral work. The video tutorial shows how to add a map to the list of data to be saved, select a backup storage location, and configure backup creation conditions: frequency by time, number of changes, maximum number of copies per day, and storage period. When the specified conditions are met, backup runs in the background while GIS "Panorama" is running and the map is open for editing.

A separate folder named after the map with a GUID identifier is created for each map in the storage. If an identifier is missing from the map's passport, it is generated automatically. When copying, all data files and map service files, including transaction logs, object lists, and other related materials, are saved. The task supports common auto-save parameters for all selected maps and individual rules for specific maps. Maps with special parameters are highlighted in green in the list. Each save is recorded in a log with the time of copy creation, the path to the source map, and the path to the saved instance. Copies whose storage period exceeds the specified number of months are automatically deleted.

Using the "Auto-Save Map" task increases the reliability of working with spatial data and reduces the risk of losing editing results due to hardware or software failures. The video materials can be found in the "Video Tutorials" section.

KB "Panorama" has developed Geodetic Calculations Complex version 15.5.5. The program now includes the capability to prepare new report forms related to agricultural lands.

In the "Geodetic Editor", the "Fill Report for Object" mode now supports the generation of two new reports: a survey report for agroforestry reclamation plantings and a survey report for agrophytomeliorative reclamation plantings. Surveying reclamation plantings is a mandatory procedure conducted to assess their condition, quantitative and qualitative characteristics, and to verify compliance with the approved land reclamation project. It is regulated by Order No. 225 of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia dated April 26, 2024. The program analyzes objects of the specified type on the map, reads their metrics and semantics, and fills in the report. Remote methods using unmanned aerial systems may be used during the survey. Automatic processing of aerial photographs and generation of digital orthophotomaps can be performed using Panorama Photo. Deciphering and determining the boundaries of agroforestry and agrophytomeliorative plantings can be performed automatically using the Panorama Vision service.

In the "Cadastral Documents" module, the "Description of Boundary Location" mode provides for generating descriptions of agricultural land boundaries according to the form approved by Order No. П/0339/25 of Rosreestr dated September 19, 2025. The updated mode supports processing of boundary registry objects of the following types: populated areas, territorial zones, specially protected natural areas, zones with special conditions for territory use, agricultural lands, and forest-park green belts. The program analyzes the type of cadastral object, reads necessary information from the map, and generates a text report – a boundary description. Descriptions of boundaries for populated areas, territorial zones, specially protected natural areas, and zones with special conditions for territory use are generated according to the form approved by Order No. 650 of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia dated November 23, 2018, while descriptions for forest-park green belts follow the form approved by Order No. П/0230 of Rosreestr dated June 21, 2023.

For informational support of the updated agricultural land reporting tools, necessary objects and semantics have been added to the digital classifier survey.v6. Additionally, the classifier has been modified for maintaining maps within urban planning documents to support the process of generating urban planning plans for land plots.

The "Attributes of Cadastral Object" mode has been improved, adding a column that displays the semantic code. It is now possible to select a file from the list of available documents in the cadastral works database for automated filling of information regarding: land category, permitted use type of the land plot, property address, and access provision to the land plot. The list of attributes for certain categories of cadastral objects has been expanded. For cadastral quarters, the KADNUM_K semantics are additionally analyzed. For zones with special conditions for territory use, the COMM semantics have been added.

Processing speed for large numbers of objects has been accelerated in the "Save Image of Selected Map Fragments" dialog. In the "Correspondence of MSC Designations and Reference System Parameters" dialog, reading of information about coordinate systems used from XML extracts of the state forest registry regarding forest quarters and forest inventory plots has been added. Tools for maintaining the cadastral works database have been improved regarding user directory management, and tools for using it in cadastral document generation modes have been expanded. The address table structure used for filling in information about individuals and legal entities has been updated. Consideration of the address division type has been added, ensuring synchronization of address information in the cadastral works database with the address database within the state address registry structure. In the "Scheme of Plot Location on the Cadastral Plan" dialog, it is now possible to select the name of the authorized government body from a directory. In the "Attributes of Cadastral Object" dialog, for the permitted use of an object according to a regulatory act, a value selection from the database directory has been added.

The "Territory Map-Plan" mode has been improved regarding the generation of XML documents according to version 01. Recording of OKATO and OKTMO information in the Address element has been added. In the Area element, automatic filling of the Formula value based on program settings data has been implemented if the formula is not specified in the property object's semantics. In the "Map (Plan) of the Land Management Object" dialog, the display of information about formed parts in the list of plots and their parts has been added.

The updated "View and Edit XML File" dialog provides analysis and editing of generated electronic cadastral documents, including the map (plan) of the land management object, boundary plan, territory map-plan, technical plan, property inspection report, and others. The cross-platform dialog is divided into two parts. The left part displays the XML document content as a tree of element names and attributes. The right part displays element and attribute values, which can be edited by the user.

The new version of the program is available on the website in the Downloads section.
