Specialists from KB "Panorama" have successfully conducted tests confirming the compatibility and correct operation of GIS Constructor in the RED OS versions 7.3 and 8. As a result of the tests, compatibility certificates were obtained.
is a set of geoinformation components for the Qt Designer visual programming environment, allowing users to create their own GIS applications. Visualization of digital maps is performed using standard conventional symbols for topographic, general geographic, and special maps. The system supports multithreading, performing calculations and displaying spatial data on various graphical devices, as well as automatic optimization of RAM for processing large volumes of data. The GIS is included in the Unified Register of Russian Software for Electronic Computers and Databases (registry entry No. 1934 dated 09/23/2016).
is a Russian Linux-family operating system for servers and workstations. It meets the requirements of the Russian Government, is included in the register of domestic software, and is certified by the FSTEC of Russia. The system is built on an RPM-format package base and is created from Open Source code using proprietary solutions from RED SOFT. Development is carried out in a closed cycle, and all its components are securely stored in a repository located on the territory of the Russian Federation. The platform complies with international POSIX and LSB standards, ensuring broad compatibility with hardware and software. The OS is provided to legal entities on a paid basis and to individuals free of charge for non-commercial use.

The geoportal has been supplemented with a map of the Independent State of Samoa, formed based on OpenStreetMap data. To work with the map, you can use the program or other software products from KB "Panorama".
The map has been converted to the modernized classifier for large-scale plans of scale 1: 5,000 (map5000m). The placement of updates in the spatial data bank was carried out using the . Publishing the contents of the spatial data bank on the geoportal and providing access to the data for download are implemented using .
Free maps based on OpenStreetMap data are available for download on the "Digital Maps" page.
Specialists from KB "Panorama" have prepared two video tutorials dedicated to the operation of the and modes (first video lesson and second video lesson). These modes are available in the application task within GIS "Panorama".
The reviewed modes are designed for plotting and updating airspace elements on the map: prohibited, dangerous, and restricted areas. The division into Air Traffic Service (ATS) areas and prohibited areas is conditional and is used exclusively for preparing cartographic materials. Consequently, the display of both ATS areas and prohibited/restricted areas follows a unified scheme.
The video tutorials demonstrate the configuration of element parameters for their subsequent plotting or updating on a user map. Selection by code, name, and zone type is performed using a filter. Additionally, the selection of elements based on their belonging to one or several ICAO regions is provided via the "Region" field.
When the "Numbering" and "Continuous" flags are activated, all airspace elements are arranged in the order adopted for the aeronautical information publication, with continuous numbering. If these flags are not set, the numbering of prohibited areas is carried out considering the types by which they are sorted. Before plotting objects on the map, it is possible to form a label displaying the values of the upper and lower altitude limit semantics in meters, feet, or both units of measurement.
This video material will be useful for specialists involved in creating and updating aeronautical data, preparing documents for flight schemes, and ensuring the functioning of the air traffic management system. You can review the training materials in the "Video Tutorials" section.
KB "Panorama" has developed version 1.10 for Android OS. The new version enhances the map editor: the "Templates of created objects" tool has been added for quickly plotting standard symbols, and the "Move object" tool has become universal. Connection to arbitrary geoportals via link has been implemented, and the fault tolerance of working with external services has been improved. The object information dialog has been supplemented with the "File link" semantics featuring built-in graphics viewing.
The "Templates of created objects" tool allows for quick plotting of pre-prepared sets of conventional symbols or their combinations onto the map. Templates can include information about the object type, preset characteristics, and label texts. The templates panel supports multiple sets (lineups) which can be switched on the screen. A template set is represented as 12 buttons, each containing an object with a visual representation. Using the templates panel, information can be quickly plotted along a movement route, for action planning, or for data exchange with other devices when connected to a GIS Server. Templates can be prepared in or . All information about the templates panel is saved in an EDT file in the map's LOG directory. This allows for easy transfer of the map to a mobile device while preserving the templates for correct panel operation in the mobile version. Using templates significantly speeds up the map data plotting process.
The map editor's "Move object" tool has become universal: it now supports not only dragging but also rotation and scaling. The updated tool allows for quick transformation of a selected object by manipulating it as a whole. Interaction uses drag gestures: moving the map underneath the object to change its position, and moving the rotation and scaling button to transform the object. If necessary, resetting the object's rotation and scaling to the original parameters is available. This approach reduces editing time and makes working with objects faster and more intuitive.
A "Connect to geportal by link" mode has been implemented in the mobile application. The new dialog allows working not only with built-in geoportals but also connecting to arbitrary sources via links from external applications. Support for the commonly used "x/y/z" tile addressing format has been added, simplifying integration with third-party cartographic systems.
Interaction with external geoportals has been improved. If the requested information is temporarily unavailable on the service, the connection remains active. Corresponding entries about erroneous network requests are added to the diagnostic log. If the connection is lost (for example, due to a weak communication channel), a re-check of the connection occurs after an interval of 10 seconds. This ensures a balance between application fault tolerance and sending excessive network requests to geoportals.
The object information viewing dialog now supports semantic characteristics of the "File link" type. If the link points to a graphic file, the application will display the image, not the link itself. This allows attaching to an object, for example, a technical data sheet or a terrain photograph. The user can open the image in full screen for detailed viewing (symbols, stamps, signatures). Popular graphic formats such as PNG, JPG, and others are supported.
GIS "Panorama Mobile" allows opening the main digital map formats of GIS "Panorama" on Android-based mobile devices and processing information from the built-in GPS/GLONASS receiver. The user can pre-prepare the necessary set of spatial data, pack it into a ZIP format archive using standard means, and transfer it to the mobile GIS "Panorama Mobile". The data processing is performed offline, without an Internet connection. As the user moves, their current position is dynamically displayed based on coordinates received from the GPS/GLONASS receiver. For ease of use, the ability to synchronize the map position with the current location is provided. To save the coordinates obtained during movement, a track recording mode is available, which creates a separate map and plots the movement trajectory on it. Basic information is provided for all map objects during work.
The source code of GIS "Panorama Mobile" for Android is part of the GIS Constructor for Android software product and can be used as a basis for creating your own mobile application in the Kotlin programming language. GIS "Panorama Mobile" uses the MAPAPI programming interface, which provides extensive capabilities for performing calculations, displaying spatial data in standard and custom symbol systems. Access to the MAPAPI programming interface occurs through the Java Native Interface (JNI). The JNI programming interface allows Java/Kotlin code to call MAPAPI libraries implemented in C/C++. An example implementation of this interface is included in the GIS Constructor for Android.
