Geoportal "Bank of spatial data" has been supplemented with a map of the Islamic Republic of Iran, formed according to OpenStreetMap data. To work with the map, you can use the GIS Panorama Mini program or other software products of KB "Panorama".
The map was led to the modernised classifier of large-scale plans of scale 1: 5 000 (map5000m).
The KB "Panorama" has developed version 15.3.4 of GIS "Operator". The new version expands the capabilities for working with spatial databases, connecting to geoportals, and utilizing local raster and vector tile pyramids. It adds support for new types of attributes and symbols for creating specialized maps and enhances the import of vector and raster data.
The task of connecting to geoportals has been improved. This feature allows users to view information from both remote services and local data in formats such as BIR, GeoPackage, and Mbtiles. In the new version of the program, information is displayed at all levels of the tile pyramid, regardless of whether data is available at those levels. Even if only one scale level is present, the program generates a reduced copy of the data or scales the image using digital zoom. Smoothing technologies are applied during rendering to create higher-quality images. The generated images are saved in a data cache to speed up subsequent viewing. Support for vector data in the GeoPackage (GPKG) format has also been added. GeoPackage combines the ability to store vector data, metadata, and attribute information in a single SQLite database file.
The functionality of the "Attribute Table" task, accessed from the program's main panel, has been expanded. This task provides the ability to display object attributes from spatial databases connected via DBM files, as well as arbitrary attribute tables. For each table selected from the database, a tab is created where its contents are displayed. Up to three additional tables selected by the user can be displayed below all tabs. Filters can be applied to table records based on column values, attribute values, or custom SQL queries. The sorted and filtered table records can be saved as a CSV text file. The "Location on Map" mode synchronizes table records with map objects that are linked through DBM files or service fields.
Support has been added for managing lists of objects and their styling for thematic maps and dynamic map labeling hosted on a GIS Server. When one user creates or updates object lists, modifies display colors, graphic symbols for polygons, lines, and point markers, semantic signature numbers, or font parameters, the corresponding object list file (OBX) on the GIS Server is updated for the respective map.
The "Classifier Editor" and the "Object Selection" dialog have been improved. Support has been added for semantics of the "Date and Time" type, enabling input and processing of various date and time formats when working with spatial databases and performing operations to search for and select objects based on different conditions. The semantics value is stored in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) but is displayed on the client workstation in local time with the time zone indicated (e.g., "06/01/2025 12:57:09 +3"). For semantics of the "File Reference" type, a filter can now be configured with a list of file extensions that can be selected when editing the semantics.
The vector sign editing dialog has been improved. Vector signs are created using tools for adding text labels, linear, and area contours. Linear and area contours are applied in the form of simple shapes: rectangle, circle, ellipse, arc, sector, polyline, or B?zier curve. A vector sign image can consist of one or more shapes (elements). In the new version, support has been added for semi-transparent polygons for area shapes. To select this new type, choose "Area" from the list of elements, then select "Glass-Area" on the "View" tab and enter a transparency value. Additionally, support has been introduced for displaying groups of closely located small objects such as polygons or lines as clusters—symbolic signs with the number of aggregated objects shown at the corresponding point.
In the "Map Legend" task, on the "General data list" tab, a new element called "Relief Shadows" has been added. This element appears in the list when elevation matrices are present in the data. When the menu option "View - Matrix View - Shadows Only" is enabled, data located above the "Relief Shadows" element will be displayed with shadows for a relief effect. Data located below the "Relief Shadows" element will be displayed clearly without shadows (e.g., maps with explanatory labels, thematic lists of objects with different highlighting styles, and other elements). Moving the "Relief Shadows" element within the list allows users to quickly adjust the map's appearance to make it more visually informative. On the "General Data List" tab, display settings for elevation matrices and layers have been added, allowing them to be shown as colored, grayscale, or shadows only.
The "Loading the graphic format files in a raster map" task has been improved. For automatic georeferencing of output rasters, support has been added for using *.rpb (*.rpc) files that describe the coefficients of the Rational Polynomial Coefficients (RPC) model. Information about RPC coefficients can be embedded in raster datasets to ensure general and precise spatial referencing of images. The RPC model enables calculation of raster pixel latitude and longitude in the Latitude/Longitude coordinate system on the WGS84 ellipsoid. Image georeferencing, projection parameters, and coordinate systems are determined by the import program in multi-threaded mode using data from GeoTIFF and IMG files, WORLD FILE georeferencing files, TAB (MapInfo), MAP (OziExplorer), PRJ projection parameter files, and RPC model files. Georeferencing files must be located in the source raster's folder and match the name of the loaded file. After successfully converting a group of rasters, an MPT project is created with a list of generated files, which is automatically added to the document or opened in a separate window. If there is a mismatch between the projection parameters of rasters being added to a document and its coordinate system, image transformation can be performed "on-the-fly". To speed up raster display at various scales, an overview image pyramid generated during conversion is used.
The "Loading vector map from DGN format" task has been improved. The algorithm for reading and classifying the original attributes of DGN records has been enhanced to configure conditional symbols for imported data. In the configuration table, a type of object from the RSC classifier is assigned for each combination of an element's level, its type, and attribute.
In the GIS Server connection dialog, for users with administrative rights, a "Statistics" button has been added to the "Monitoring" tab. When pressed, it displays the server activity log for the current month. The log contains records of user connections and disconnections, indicating the current number of active users, as well as records of data opening and closing, specifying the number of users working with that data. The log is designed to facilitate server load analysis. The statistics request is supported on GIS Server version 11.1.3.1 and above.
The new version of the program is available for download in the Download section.
KB "Panorama" has developed version 15.3.4 of the "Workstation of cadastral engineer". In the new version, tools for preparing land management and cadastral documents have been enhanced in the tasks "Cadastral Documents" and "Geodetic Editor".
The "Map (plan) of the object land 2024" mode has been refined. During the transition period, support for generating XML documents according to different XML schemas has been implemented. Depending on the version selected in the "Settings" tab, the document is created according to the XML schema interactmapplanv01.xsd or interactmapplanv02.xsd.
In the "Land survey plan" dialog, when processing adjacent land plots, the ability to use contours of a plot with the type "formed" has been added. The program analyzes the value of the "Cadastral Number" semantic attribute. If the value is filled in, it is considered that this is a formed contour of an updated adjacent land plot. This feature allows for processing updated adjacent land plots that have become multi-contoured as a result of clarification.
In the dialogs of the "Base of cadastral works" mode, a filtering capability has been added to search for records in all registers by various attributes. For contracts, search is provided by number, date of signing, and date of material preparation. For customers and contractors, search is available by name. For measuring instruments, search is supported by name, registry number, expiration date, calibration certificate, and serial number. For geodetic points, search is available by name, type, class, coordinate system, survey date, condition of the mark, center, and label. For documents, search is supported by name, series, number, and issuance date.
To generate XML documents and reports according to forms established by regulatory acts, a predefined set of cadastral objects and their attributes (semantic characteristics) is used. Filling in the semantics of cadastral documents is an important stage in preparing a report or XML file. KB "Panorama" continuously monitors regulatory legal acts. With the release of new versions of XML schemas and requirements for filling out reporting document forms, updates to digital classifiers (survey, forester, and urban) are carried out. The refined "Editing semantics of cadastral work object" mode supports all changes in the set of attributes of cadastral objects from these classifiers. The form for selecting semantic values for semantics with the type "Code from Classifier" has been updated in the mode's dialog.
Both structured and free-form reports are used when performing land management, geodetic, and forest inventory work. To support the generation of text reports based on pre-prepared templates, the report generation wizard has been updated in the "Geodesy Editor" task. The report wizard is used in modes such as "Create schema objects and filling the report", "Filling a report for an object", "To generate the SCHEME on semantics of object", and "To generate the SCHEME of object and open it in current window". The program ensures the sequential execution of the following operations: selecting a map object, creating an object diagram map, viewing and editing the object diagram map, generating a report based on a template, filling the report with information from the object's metrics and semantics, and inserting an image of the object diagram map into the report.
To manage sequentially performed operations, the "Scheme and report settings" dialog is used. Depending on the selected mode, the dialog displays different sets of tabs. The ability to specify different names for the "Scheme and Report Settings", "Report Settings", and "Scheme Settings" dialogs has been added. The algorithm for filling a DOCX document based on a template has been improved, outdated markers have been removed, and new metric markers have been added. In accordance with regulatory requirements, graphic images of schemes and drawings must be included in XML documents in PDF format. However, inserting PDF files into DOCX-format reports is not supported. To enable the insertion of images from attached PDF files, the "To save the image for a graphic part of the land-plan" mode has been updated. It now allows simultaneous saving of a map fragment in both PDF and JPG formats. If the list of attached graphic files includes a PDF file, the updated report wizard automatically searches for the corresponding JPG file by the name of the PDF file and inserts it into the report.
When creating linear or polygonal objects in various modes of the "Map Editor" task, automatic generation of common intersection points for all map objects or selected objects is supported. In the "Editor Parameters" dialog, on the "General Parameters" page, a field has been added to select highlighted objects. If it is disabled, all intersecting map objects are analyzed. On the "Service" tab of the "Editor Parameters" dialog, a field for setting the font height of temporary auxiliary labels (characteristic values, calculated values, and others) has been added to improve readability.
The new version of the program is available in the Download section on the website.
GIS "Panorama" version 15.3.4 includes a digital classifier for creating territorial planning schemes terrplan.v8.rsc and the schema fgistp-10-izm-504.v8.xsd. These have been prepared in accordance with changes pursuant to the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation dated 09.08.2024 No. 504 "On Amendments to the Requirements for Description and Display of Federal, Regional, and Local Significance Objects in Territorial Planning Documents, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia dated January 9, 2018 No. 10" and the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation dated 09.01.2018 No. 10.
The schema fgistp-10-izm-504.v8.xsd ensures GML formation with automatic population of the general attribute list within the layer to prevent attribute composition errors when uploading to FGIS TP. During layer-by-layer GML formation, the creation of database table prototypes is ensured, corresponding in composition to the requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation dated 09.08.2024 No. 504.
The new version of GIS "Panorama" with the digital classifier for creating territorial planning schemes terrplan.v8.rsc and the schema fgistp-10-izm-504.v8.xsd is available for download in the Download section.
KB "Panorama" has developed GIS "Panorama"version 15.3.4. The new version expands the capabilities of "Map Editor", "Geodetic Editor", and cadastral tasks. GeoPackage format support has been added for preparing special maps and exchanging geospatial information. RPC coefficient support for image georeferencing has been implemented for raster data import.
In the "Map Editor" task, a new "Linear coordinates calculation parameters" mode has been added to the "Linear Coordinate System" toolbar. This mode is designed to calculate linear coordinate values for point objects (point events) or ends of linear objects (start and end of linear events) lying on a calibrated route. Linear coordinate calculations for objects located on a calibrated route can be performed for a selected route, group of selected routes, or all routes present on the map. The search for objects lying on the processed route is performed automatically using the route identifier contained in the route object and event objects.
A new mode "Create polygon from surrounding contour boundaries" has been added to the "Group of modes Cut and combine" toolbar. This mode is designed to create a multipolygon formed by the boundaries of adjacent polygon contours and closed linear objects within a specified closed contour or selected object. The multipolygon construction area can be specified by circular mouse movement or by setting a rectangular fragment while holding the Shift key, as well as by selecting an object on the map after pressing the spacebar.
When creating linear or areal objects in various "Map Editor" modes, automatic formation of common intersection points is supported for all map objects or selected ones. In the "Editor Parameters" dialog, on the "General Parameters" page, a field has been added for selecting highlighted objects; if disabled, all intersecting map objects are analyzed. On the "Service" tab of the "Editor Parameters" dialog, a field has been added to set the font height of temporary auxiliary labels (characteristic values, calculated values, etc.) to improve readability.
The "Classifier Editor" task and "Object Selection" dialog have been improved. Support for "Date and Time" semantics has been added for inputting and processing different date and time formats when working with spatial databases and performing search and object selection operations under various conditions. The semantic value is stored in Greenwich time and displayed at the client workstation in local time with time zone display (for example, "06/01/2025 12:57:09 +3").
Support has been added for maintaining object lists and their styling for thematic maps and dynamic labeling of maps hosted on GIS Server. When creating and updating object lists by users, changing display colors, graphic symbols for polygons, lines and point symbols, semantic numbering, and font parameters, the object list file (OBX) is updated on the GIS Server for the corresponding map.
The geoportal connection task has been improved. Support for vector data in GeoPackage (GPKG) format has been added. GeoPackage is a modern, open, and cross-platform format developed for storing and exchanging geospatial information. GeoPackage combines the capabilities of storing vector data, metadata, and attribute information in a single SQLite database file.
The "Loading the graphic format files in a raster map" task has been enhanced. Support for *.rpb (*.rpc) files describing RPC (Rational Polynomial Coefficients) model coefficients has been added for automatic output raster georeferencing. Information about rational polynomial coefficients can be embedded in raster datasets to provide general and accurate spatial referencing of images. The RPC model enables calculation of raster pixel latitude and longitude in the Latitude/Longitude coordinate system on the WGS84 ellipsoid. Image georeferencing, projection parameters, and coordinate systems are determined by the import program in multi-threaded mode using data from GeoTIFF, IMG files, WORLD FILE, TAB, MAP georeferencing files, PRJ projection parameter files, and RPC model files. Reference files must be located in the source raster folder and correspond to the name of the loaded file. After successful conversion of a raster group, an MPT project is created with a list of generated files, which is automatically added to the document or opened in a separate window. When projection parameters of rasters being added to the document don't match its coordinate system, image transformation can be performed "on the fly". To accelerate raster display at various scales, a pyramid of overview images created during conversion is used.
The "Export of territorial planning schemes to gml format" task has been updated in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Order No. 504 dated 09.08.2024. A new schema fgistp-10-izm-504.v8.xsd has been developed to automate attribute list generation and population according to regulatory requirements.
The ability to limit RAM usage when working with large volumes of digital terrain maps has been added. This will prevent virtual memory usage, speed up program operation, and improve reliability with limited memory resources and when working on virtual machines. RAM usage limits can be set in the "Data Placement" dialog, accessible from the "Parameters" menu.
The "Map (plan) of the object land 2024" mode has been updated for the transition period with XML schemas interact_map_plan_v01.xsd and interact_map_plan_v02.xsd. Support for XML document generation using different XML schemas has been implemented. Schema version selection switches have been added to the "Settings" tab. The "Land Survey Plan" dialog has been improved, adding display of adjacent land plots with "to be formed" type that have filled "Cadastral number" semantics. In this case, it is considered a formed contour of an adjacent land plot being clarified. This allows processing of adjacent land plots being clarified that changed from single-contour to multi-contour as a result of clarification. A "Help" button has been added to the "State real estate cadastre information" mode.
The "Editing attributes of a cadastral object" mode has been updated, modifying the "Semantics Value Selection" dialog for semantics with "Code from Classifier" type. Filtering capability has been added to cadastral work database dialogs for searching records in all registers by various attributes. For contracts, search by number, conclusion date, and materials preparation date is provided. For customers and contractors, search by name is provided. For measuring instruments, search by name, registry number, validity period, verification certificate, and serial number is provided. For geodetic points, search by name, type, class, coordinate system, inspection date, and condition of sign, center, and mark is provided. For documents, search by name, series, number, and issue date is provided.
The "Geodetic Editor" task has been updated with a new report generation wizard that provides sequential execution of the following operations: map object selection, creation of object schematic map, viewing and editing of schematic map, template-based report creation, populating the report with metric and semantic data from the map object, and insertion of schematic map image into the report. The report wizard is used in the following modes: "Create object schema and fill report", "Fill report for object", "Generate object schema in separate window" and "Generate object schema and add to current window".
The "Formation of the report" dialog is used to control the sequential operations. Different tabs are displayed in the dialog depending on the active mode. Different dialog titles have been added: "Schema and Report Settings", "Report Settings", and "Schema Settings". The DOCX document template filling algorithm has been improved, with obsolete metric markers removed and new ones added. According to regulatory requirements, graphic images of schemas and drawings must be included in XML documents in PDF format. However, insertion of PDF files into DOCX format reports is not supported. Meanwhile, the "Save Image for Graphic Part of Report" mode saves the map fragment to PDF through preliminary creation of a JPG format file. The enhanced report wizard provides automatic search for the JPG file next to the PDF file and its insertion into the DOCX format report. In the "Generation of turning points sketches" mode, the dialog for selecting the folder to save generated graphic sketch files has been modified. In dialogs of the "Exchange files processing" group and several other dialogs, the font height of dialog elements has been standardized to a uniform size.
The new version of the program is available for download in the Download section.
