A master class prepared by specialists from KB "Panorama" has been dedicated to a practical session within the course. This session focuses on the installation and configuration of server software products from KB "Panorama": GIS Server, GIS WebService SE, and GIS WebServer SE.

The educational program "Geoportals and Distributed Geoinformation Technologies" was developed for students of the Faculty of Geoinformatics and Information Security at the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK). It serves as a comprehensive introduction to modern geoinformation system technologies. The course, consisting of a series of lectures and practical sessions, has become an integral part of the master's program at the Department of Geoinformation Systems and Technologies.

The learning process is conducted by experienced educators with high qualifications in geoinformation technologies. Students gain access to up-to-date knowledge and practical skills necessary for working with modern software in the field of geoinformation systems and geoportals. Geoportal "Bank of spatial data" has been supplemented with a map of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, formed according to OpenStreetMap data. To work with the map, you can use the GIS Panorama Mini program or other software products of KB "Panorama".

The map was led to the modernised classifier of large-scale plans of scale 1: 5 000 (map5000m). Publishing of updates in bank of spatial data is made by using the program of Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data. Publishing contents of bank of spatial data on the geoportal and data access for downloading are implemented by means of GIS WebServer SE.

Free maps on the basis of OpenStreetMap data are available for download on the page "Digital maps".

Specialists from KB "Panorama" in collaboration with students from MIIGAiK have created a tutorial on the capabilities of creating and editing objects using the "Map Editor" mode. All users of desktop products from KB "Panorama" (such as the Professional GIS "Panorama", the Professional vectorizer "Panorama-editor", GIS "Operator" for the military forces, GIS Panorama Mini, "Workstation of cadastral engineer" and others) can utilize this mode. The video tutorial covers the ways of adding objects of various types (point, line, area, labels) as well as the specifics of creating and editing semantic characteristics.

Creating a map object involves defining its type (symbol), coordinates on the ground (metrics), and characteristics (semantics). The selection of the object type is done through a special dialog where you can also specify the method of creating the object (manual or semi-automatic vectorization from raster, entering coordinates from the keyboard or file, and others). The video demonstrates tools for quickly finding the desired object by its name or classification code.

In the KB Panorama, a GIS "Panorama Mobile" version 1.5 for the Android OS has been developed. The new version includes the ability to create, edit, and delete objects on vector maps, undo previously performed actions. Support for the dark theme of the OS has been improved and data management tools have been expanded.

The GIS "Panorama Mobile" implements functionality for creating and editing objects on vector maps. To create an object, the user sequentially performs several steps: selects the type of object to be created from the classifier, specifies the metric information of the object on the map, and adds text if the created object is a label. A dialog is developed for selecting the type of object to be created, allowing the user to filter available objects by object localization or by classifier layer. Placing an object on the map is a universal action that allows adding points of the object at any location within the object's contour, moving them, and deleting them. Similarly to creating an object, the functionality for editing the metrics of an object is implemented. To prevent accidental placement or editing of an object, the action is confirmed by pressing a button. In case of a mistaken action, the user can undo the last operation or revert a mistakenly undone action.

In the new version, support for the dark theme of the operating system has been improved. The functionality of the data list has been expanded. Now, the user can control the visibility of individual document layers to obtain the most clear image for working with cartographic information. If the user needs to switch to an open document, they can use the "Go to" option in the context menu of data list elements.

GIS "Panorama Mobile" allows users to open major GIS "Panorama" digital map formats on mobile devices running on Android and process information from the built-in GPS/GLONASS receiver. Users can prepare the necessary set of spatial data in one of the desktop products (GIS "Panorama", "Panorama Editor", GIS Panorama Mini), pack them into a ZIP archive using standard tools, and transfer them to the mobile GIS "Panorama Mobile". Data processing is done autonomously, without the need for an internet connection. As the user moves, their current position is dynamically displayed on the map based on coordinates received from the GPS/GLONASS receiver. For user convenience, there is an option to synchronize the map's position with the current location. To save the coordinates obtained during movement, there is a track recording mode that creates a separate map and plots the movement trajectory on it. Basic information is provided for all map objects during operation.
