Specialists of KB "Panorama" have prepared a video lesson on working with a project in the GIS "Panorama" system, which contains a PostgreSQL database.
The user database (DB) management system is an integral part of the GIS "Panorama" system and is designed to work with data stored in database tables on a local or network disk. Work with DBMS dBase, MS SQL, PostgreSQL is supported. The database may contain attributive information about map objects in addition to its semantic characteristics. The database allows you to structure, store and process data of various types by creating user projects.
The video lesson demonstrates how to restore a test database using the pgAdmin 4 GUI, create an ODBC data source using the "ODBC Data Source Administrator" and connect the database in the

The urban planning cadastre database complies with the order of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation dated August 6, 2020 No. 433/pr and the rules for maintaining state information systems for supporting urban planning activities, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated March 13, 2020 No. 279 "On information ensuring urban planning activities."
In the new version the digital classifiers used for creation of digital maps used in urban-planning activity have been updated, including: terrplan.rsc, urban.rsc and survey.rsc. The terrplan.rsc classifier was prepared in accordance with the requirements of Order No. 620 of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation dated 09/06/2023 and is used to create territorial planning schemes and master plans. The urban.rsc classifier complies with the requirements of the order of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation dated 08/06/2020 No. 433/pr and is used for territorial zoning maps, territory planning projects, improvement schemes, plans for ground and underground communications and maintaining spatial data of state information registers systems for supporting urban planning activities in accordance with Appendix No. 1 to the order. The survey.rsc classifier for maintaining a duty cadastral map, which displays the boundaries of land plots and real estate objects, complies with the requirements of Federal Laws No. 221-FZ "On Cadastral Activities" and No. 78-FZ "On Land Management". The cadastral map is created according to the XML document of the cadastral extract, which is requested on the public services portal of Rosreestr or in the territorial divisions of Rosreestr.
The methodology for the integrated use of digital maps and a database of urban planning information and documents, information about the structure of registers of state information systems for supporting urban planning activities and the procedure for establishing spatial connections with a multilayer digital map is given in the document "Description of application".
"Workstation of urban planner" includes directories and classifiers necessary for processing information, documents, materials placed in the state information systems of supporting urban planning activities.Modules and modes of the "Workstation of urban planner" provide support for formats of providing information, documents, and materials contained in state information systems for supporting urban planning activities, in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents.

In the task of connecting geoportals the speed of loading and displaying tiles has been increased. The GIS core automatically evaluates the computer parameters: the number of cores, the size of the RAM, the bandwidth of the data transmission channel. Taking into account the performance of the system, a pool of independent threads is formed to load, process and display the received data. Multi-threaded data loading reduces delays when moving the screen, scaling the map, and performing spatial queries to the geoportal. For example, for a network with a bandwidth of 100 Mbps on a 4-core processor with a clock frequency of 3.5 GHz, the speed of displaying tiles from the KB Panorama geoportal increased 6 times, and the time to receive them decreased from 500ms to 70ms. In order to increase the speed of data access for the WMS protocol, caching of data in the form of tiles has been added. The data is saved in the form of a pyramid of tiles 1024х1024 in a folder of location of the geoportal cache. This change will allow the user to accumulate data locally and, in the absence of the Internet, use the already accumulated data cache. In order to update previously saved data, it is possible to set the lifetime of the geoportal cache in seconds.
Access to geoportal archive data has been added. Examples of such geoportals are the Sentinel Hub geoportal or the VEGA services. The task allows you to connect to images or data on the geoportal by specifying the date, the request period, or the percentage of maximum cloudiness of satellite images. To quickly change the image from the geoportal, a new dialog has been added that allows you to set the parameters for accessing archived data (date, period, cloudiness); to set an offset or reference to a point if the geoportal has a lower accuracy than the map or data with which the geoportal is combined; to set transparency color - to view several layers at the same time; to set the color of the filter to change the color scheme of the geoportal. In the new version the possibility of connection of dynamically expanded list of available geoportals has been added. When such a geoportal is selected, a GetCapabilities request is sent to the service, and based on it, the list is automatically expanded with relevant data in the form of a tree of available layers. Support for a proxy server with domain authorization has been added.
Ability has been added to connect digital terrain models via the WCS protocol. Connection to WCS-service is carried out on the basis of OGC 09-110r4 Web Coverage Service standards. At the same time, data from any number of WCS services can be opened together with data from geoportals, data from GIS Servers, and locally open data. To increase the speed of working with the WCS service, data caching is supported on the client. The information received from the service allows you to create 3D terrain models onto territories of any size up to a surface of all Globe.
The task "Highlight any area" has been improved. Changing the conditions for selecting objects selected by area has been simplified. The selection of objects by area is performed using the "Select inside the object" and "Select by any area" modes (polygon, rectangular fragment, lasso). At the end of drawing the area on the map, objects located inside the selected area are highlighted. To change the selection conditions, press the right mouse button and select one of the modes in the context menu: Highlight inside (delete intersection), Highlight with intersection (and inside), Highlight outside (delete intersection). If clusters are displayed on the map (generalized signs of closely spaced objects specified in the classifier), then the corresponding signs of clusters are displayed and marked, taking into account the number of signs and their location on the map.
GIS Panorama Mini is the universal geoinformation system intended for a collecting the spatial data, a conducting the spatial database, creation and updating of digital maps and plans, creation of information systems of various purposes. The program implements the following main functions: import and viewing of vector maps, raster data, matrixes of heights, matrixes of qualities, geological matrixes of layers, TIN-models, laser scanning data, user maps and work regions; creation of new maps with automatic filling of parameters using the EPSG code or from the list of parameters in XML format; export of maps to SXF, DXF, OGC GML formats; multi-user work with data with access control through a connection to the GIS Server; combining and editing vector maps of different projections in one document; support for popular geoportals, which allows displaying user maps over images received from sites; printing to various output devices with customization of print parameters.
