  • 01.04.2020 Training-demonstration maps in Spanish onto the territory of Nicaragua are developed
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" in collaboration with Procad S.A. (Republic of Nicaragua) prepared two new training-demonstration maps onto the territory of Nicaragua in Spanish: a geographic map on a scale of 1: 500 000 and a topographic map on a scale of 1: 50 000.

    The geographic map on the scale of 1: 500 000 is intended for users who only start to get acquainted with possibilities of "Panorama" software products. The map demonstrates possibilities of visualizing the geographical information, the data about a relief, the superposition of additional thematic layers.

    A topographic map on a scale of 1: 50 000 displays about 3 thousand square kilometers of the territory of the Chinandega Department, stretching from the volcano San Cristobal to the western tip of the Kosiguin Peninsula. The map demonstrates the capabilities of GIS "Panorama" for the production of cartographic products adapted to national standards. This map is intended for users studying the modes of creating and editing maps, preparing maps for printing, quality control, analytical and other tasks.

    A geographic map on a scale of 1: 500 000 and a topographic map on a scale of 1:50 000 onto the territory of Nicaragua are available for download in the "Training-demonstration maps" section on gisinfo.net/esp web-site.

  • 30.03.2020 In GIS WebServer SE the possibilities of customizing the user interface for the "Map Editor" task are expanded
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS WebServer SE version 5.3.1 for operating systems Astra Linux, Windows, CentOS is developed. In the new version, in the task "Map Editor" a support for general parameters for selecting objects on the map is added: the color of the image highlighting, the color of the outline of selected objects. When changing color settings, the graphic style of the lines automatically changes when editing objects. In the 3D map in the tile layers, it has become possible to obtain data from several sources in order to accelerate the display of the map. The main page of the application is adapted for mobile devices. The administration module automatically detects whether a layer belongs to an external data source.

    In the new version there is improved the toolkit of Web-application development the GIS WebToolKit SE, which extends the possibilities of GIS WebServer SE and can be integrated into other information systems. Access to data (images, vector maps, and terrain information) is provided by Web services using generally accepted OGC protocols and ISO standards. GIS WebService SE (OGC WMS / WMTS) provides spatial information in the form of graphic images. As a digital elevation model, various types of elevation data are used: matrixes (in SRTM, GeoTIFF, IMG, MTW formats), TIN-models, point cloud, and others. The service provides possibility of publishing the three-dimensional terrain models unloaded into DB3D format. These models can be obtained from files of the COLLADA type, as well as from photorealistic three-dimensional models of unlimited size (TLS, OC3).

    As a source of spatial data, the Databank of digital maps and Remote Sensing Data can be used. It provides the collection, storage, search and delivery of spatial data in exchange formats, displaying the state of the data bank in the form of maps-schemes, and the automated formation and updating of geo-covers.

    GIS WebServer SE is used in the construction of closed corporate systems to ensure the protection of data having a security classification or a trade secret. GIS WebServer SE is certified for Level 2 of absence of undeclared capabilities. The new version of the program expands the application's capabilities in solving problems of analysis, management and long-term planning of the territories development. GIS WebServer SE is implemented using the toolkit of GIS WebToolKit SE, which can be used in development tools that use the JavaScript.

  • 24.03.2020 Training-presentation materials on the possibilities of the technology for creating high-precision 3D-terrain models were prepared
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" refined the technology of forming a high-precision measuring three-dimensional terrain model. Using this technology, an accurate 3D terrain model can be quickly obtained in several ways and with a combination of various input data.

    A realistic high-precision 3D-model of the terrain can be obtained by shooting the terrain using unmanned aerial photography systems, processing and displaying the obtained data. The software imports three-dimensional models from tile models in the TLS format (Agisoft Tiled Model), point clouds in the Agisoft OC3 format and LAS files into the DB3D format. The database of three-dimensional tiles in DB3D format is used to store and display 3D models in the form of three-dimensional tiles from data of any type, scale range and length.

    To obtain a 3D terrain model, high-altitude data (matrixes or tin models), space and aerial photographs, geoportal data and vector two-dimensional maps, for example, free maps on the base of OpenStreetMap, can be used. In this case, the terrain model is created by superimposing automatically created tiles with images or images of maps onto a high-altitude base (Applications. Building a 3D model). From vector two-dimensional maps, information on the location and characteristics of objects is added onto the terrain model. And for their volumetric display, the libraries of standard 3D models are used, which are supplied with the KB Panorama software.
    All the described options for obtaining a three-dimensional terrain model can be used simultaneously or in any combination in desktop and Web applications.   • 18.03.2020 "Workstation of agronomist" automates the creation of fertilizer maps according to satellite field monitoring
    In KB "Panorama" the "Workstation of agronomist" version 13.1 is developed. The new version has expanded the functions of obtaining and viewing data of remote sensing of the Earth within the boundaries of agricultural land. Into the tasks line of satellite monitoring, there is added a package obtaining of maps of inhomogeneity zones on several contours of an arable land. The new mode simplifies work with a large number of fields, allows you to download maps of a given number of zones with a similar state of vegetation, or to calculate maps of nitrogen application. Differentiated fertilizer application according to inhomogeneity maps or nitrogen content maps makes it possible to increase productivity by rational selection of fertilizer doses.

    When creating maps of heterogeneity zones with automatic selection of images, the amount of information on the contour of the arable land as a whole and for each zone separately was increased. Together with the map, the numbers of the most differing zones, the general level of heterogeneity, the index of heterogeneity and productivity of the entire land plot are saved, and the description of each zone is supplemented by local indices of heterogeneity and productivity. This information can be used in a more detailed analysis of the land plot state.

    Into the mode "Viewing Remote Sensing Data" the window has been added for simultaneous viewing the matrixes of several vegetation indexes onto a contour of one agricultural land. This allows you to visually analyze the state of vegetation. The mode is intended for an unloading the maps of zoning by nitrogen of a working plot into a file-task of the onboard computer. Nitrogen zoning maps are loaded to a local disk or GIS Server in the satellite monitoring mode "Obtaining nitrogen demand maps". When unloading maps, the folder structure of the on-board computer is taken into account. The following types of on-board computers are supported: Trimble, Amazone, Raven, AgLeader, JohnDeere, Topcon and others.

    Modes of satellite monitoring work with the "Panorama AGRO" database and support a data placement on a GIS Server for collective work in multi-user access mode.   • 16.03.2020 At the scientific-practical conference in Angola, geoinformation technologies of KB "Panorama" were presented
    From March, 4 till March, 6th, 2020 in Luanda (Republic of Angola) the conference "Modern technologies for the operational creation of cartographic materials" was held. The organizers of the event were the Angolan side - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Angola, the Russian side - the Fund of development of geodetic science and education and the Moscow university of geodesy and cartography (MIIGAiK). The event was attended by leading Russian companies working in the field of geodesy, cartography and aerial photography. Specialists of KB "Panorama" presented the technologies for creating and updating digital topographic maps based on data from unmanned aerial vehicles using GIS "Panorama" and other software products of KB.

    For three days, representatives of Russian companies familiarized Angolan specialists with the latest technologies for using remote sensing data obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles to create accurate cartographic materials. In the process, participants discussed the practical and economic aspects of UAV operation and processing of survey results.

    Conference included theoretical and practical stages. The theoretical stage took place on the first day and included reports by Russian specialists on modern software development for photogrammetric processing of aerial photography data, the creation of various cartographic products and the construction of spatial data infrastructure.

    The next day was devoted to aerial photography. The participants got acquainted with the whole aerial photography cycle with the use of SuperCam drones: from preparing a geodetic substantiation up to completing a flight mission.

    On the third day of the conference, the results of data processing performed on the eve of aerial photography were demonstrated. They included orthophotomaps, digital models of terrain and relief, digital cartographic products, and their placement on WEB services. The technology and methods for processing orthophotomaps were presented in the preparation of digital topographic maps and plans using GIS "Panorama". Listeners have shown high interest in technological solutions and developments of Russian colleagues.

  • 06.03.2020 GIS WebServer SE expanded web toolkit for editing terrain maps as part of regional and corporate geoportals
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS WebServer SE version 5.3 is developed for operating systems Astra Linux, Windows, CentOS. In the new version, "Map Editor" provides an expanded set of functions and tools for editing geodata. It allows you to create new ones, modify existing map objects, and perform actions on a group of objects. Operations are performed in a web browser, their result is loaded onto the server. The editor’s user interface is displayed in a separate window for a better overview of the map. To assign or change an object type, use the "View" panel. An object type can be set without interrupting the current editing operation. To do this, just select the appropriate icon in the "View" panel. Images of views of objects are displayed in the form of a legend (tree) or in the form of a model of objects (table). For fast creation of objects the "Editor uses" templates of objects. Templates of objects - the graphic list of often used types of map objects. When you select a template, the editor automatically switches to the mode of creating the object of the specified type. When editing the first and last points of the object geometry, the possibility of the contour continuation is added. The editor informs the user about the performed actions: changing the type of an object, deleting, changing attributes, and other operations on objects. Information is recorded into the map event log, which can be viewed.

  • 03.03.2020 Series of video lessons in English is supplemented with materials about the technology for importing vector maps from Shape format
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" prepared the video lesson "Import data from the Shapefile format". It is intended for the English-speaking users independently studying the possibilities of the GIS "Panorama". In this lesson the program tools for importing vector maps from Shape format are demonstrated.

    Video lesson acquaints users with the task "Import Shape-files" which is available for start in the "Import from …" section of the "File" menu item. During the lesson, the work with the pages (bookmarks) of the dialog is shown: "Common" and "Options". The bookmark "Options" allows you to perform the initial setting of the project for processing the source data, which are the same or periodically updated. The "Common" bookmark allows you to customize options of streaming data processing. In addition, the "Common" bookmark contains information and statistics fields that allow you to track the need to make changes into project settings, for example, when changing input data. In the case of using a data set, obtained by unloading the map using the "Panorama" software products, project setup is not required. All settings are performed automatically.

  • 28.02.2020 In GIS "Panorama" 13 the technologies of creation and updating of topographical, navigation and thematic maps are improved
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS "Panorama" version 13.1.0 is developed. In the new version in the “Map Editor”, the mode of editing the title created on the semantics of object has been improved. To change the text of the title, you can go to the source - the semantics of the object linked with the title. For correction of the displayed text in dialog of title editing, the "Title source" button is provided. By its pressing in the "Semantics" bookmark of "Select Object" dialog it is possible to set new value of corresponding semantics. When updating and saving semantics, the text of the linked titles will automatically be replaced with a new one in accordance with the specified display format. The automatic synchronization of the text of title linked to the semantics of the map object has been expanded. Creation of the titles linked with objects is carried out using the map editor tools: Create the title of line on semantic, Create the title on semantics ("Title" group). To synchronize the title text with the semantics of the linked object, special code records of the text in the title metric are used, which begin with the symbol "#". Code record can, for example, look like: "#9(~)\H=#4.1(~)" where there are indicated the links to semantics "Name" (9), "Absolute height" (4), transition to the next line "\" and number of digits of the fractional part of the real number ".1". In parentheses there are written the default values, or the sign of deleting the line "~" in the absence of semantics. If the object has both semantics (9 and 4) on the map, the linked title looks like: "Lukovo\H=123.4." In the absence of semantics 9, the title has the form: "H=123.4".     In the "Navigator 3D" task, the modes are added for displaying a database of 3D-tiles in a skeleton image and a searching/selecting a separate model from a database. Skeleton display of 3D tiles allows you to visually evaluate the structure of the model and perform filtering if necessary. The searching/selecting mode allows you to quickly go to the desired model on the 3D map.
    The user's interface of the converter from COLLADA (DAE) in DB3D is extended. There is added the ability to select from the list of coordinate systems of the downloaded data: SK-42, SK-95, PZ-90.11, WGS-84, Pseudo-Mercator (EPSG: 3857) and others. When you import three-dimensional models into the DB3D database, they are converted into a single geocentric coordinate system.

    The task "To locate photos of JPEG on map by GPS-coordinates" has been improved. The list of formats of processed source data in the "preliminary compilation" mode has been expanded. Loading of project of shooting data obtained from PhotoScan software is added. The data project integrates a set of JPEG images whose structured photographing parameters are described in a text file. In the "preliminary compilation" mode the automatic binding and turn of the photo image by coordinates of the shooting point and the direction angle of the image is carried out.

    A new module "Floor Plan Editor " has been added to the "Geodesy Editor", which is a set of new specialized modes arranged in a separate toolbar. The module includes the basic functions necessary for the quick and high-quality creation of graphic documents of floor plans of buildings and constructions in the established form and accepted conventional symbols. The wizard for creating a new project allows by one-click to form a template of the graphic document with ready-made layout and footers (headers, corner stamps, etc.).

    In the module “Map (plan) of a land management object”, when processing semantics containing the name of the MapPlan XML file, the functions of forming a short (when writing) and full file name (when reading) are added. Functions are added for correct copying of maps with links from one computer onto another one. The function of "intelligent" checking the geonyms of address element according to the scheme AddressInp_v05.xsd is developed, since there are no directories of types of address objects for the _AddressInp_v09.xsd scheme. At the input of the function, the name of the type of the addressable object, for example, "street", at the exit, the geonym "str". The function of checking geonyms is used in the dialog "Land survey plan" and "Map (plan) of the land management object" for updating the values of the customer address obtained from the cadastral database. So as the base is maintained simultaneously for all types of cadastral documents, the structured address can differ for the technical plan, a map (plan), a land survey plan.

    The dialog "Object selection" has been improved. On the bookmark "Metric" there is added the ability to save the description of the object in file formats: SHP/DBF, OGC GML, GeoJSON. You can save the object through the menu item "Save Object" by pressing the right mouse button. There is added the ability to view the result of the description of the title format when using service characters and words as a tooltip when you hover over the title. A list of service symbols and words can be found by clicking on the "Service symbols" button.

    When you open a zip file containing data in the SXF exchange format and RSC, the vector map is automatically generated and opened. Zip files with vector maps can be generated on request in the Databank of Digital Maps and Remote Sensing Data.

  • 26.02.2020 Specialists of KB "Panorama" held a training seminar for representatives of the Ryazan region administration on the use of a modernized regional GIS
    As part of the modernization of the existing regional geographic information system of the Ryazan region, the specialists of KB Panorama conducted training for representatives of the executive authorities of the Ryazan region, performing the functions of operators and analysts of the system. The modernized state information system "Regional Geographic Information System of the Ryazan Region" was built on the basis of serial software of KB "Panorama". The server part of the regional geographic information system includes the GIS Server, GIS Web Service SE, GIS WebServer SE. As a client application at the workstations of the system’s operators, the professional vectorizer the GIS "Panorama-Editor" with complexes of urban tasks and geodesy calculations is used. For users with the rights of "analyst", access to the system is carried out using a web application from a standard Internet browser.

    The classes were organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Information Technology and Communications of the Ryazan Region. The event was held in the period from February, 20 till February, 21st on the basis of collective work space the "Boiling point" in the city of Ryazan. The attendees listened to the basic course of applying the Panorama geographic information systems. They got acquainted with the interface of the modernized system, the rules for creating and publishing spatial data, were able to get answers to questions. The initial content of the RGIS was implemented by converting the data provided by the government of the Ryazan region from the SHAPE format into the internal format of the modernized RGIS RO, and publishing them on the system’s servers.

  • 25.02.2020 GIS WebService SE has expanded the ability to publish 3D terrain models
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS WebService SE version 13.1.0 is developed. In the new version the requests for work with three-dimensional terrain models are added. The request of formation of a 3D-layer is implemented. Developers using GIS WebToolKit SE can publish their own database of three-dimensional objects in db3d format, having transferred the necessary parameters to the service. In addition, to request information about an object, it is possible to display the templates visibility range of p3d library.

    In the new version a processing of all requests is accelerated at the expense of creating the reduced xml files of settings for each layer. The program forms tiles by rasters and matrixes "on the fly", without preliminary data transformation. This saves time on additional data preparation. In the program the interface of the administrator is improved, interactive tips are added.

    The new version of the program has expanded the ability to create pyramids of tiles for integration with existing information systems. The service can be embedded in data warehouses, simplifying the process of publishing tiles for a particular information system. Users can specify the format of the tiles names and the structure of their storage, for example, scale/row/row_column.png, scale/row/column.png, scale/column/row.png and others.

    GIS WebService SE supports all international standards (OGC WFS, WFS-T, WMS, WMTS, WCS), with the help of which the transmission and display of spatial data is carried out. The program has the ability to issue tiles by any user or local coordinate system. The application is implemented on Windows and Linux platforms, is compatible with Apache, IIS and nginx web servers.

  • 21.02.2020 Geoportal of open data of EMERCOM of Russia for emergencies forecasting is updated
    In KB "Panorama" the Geoportal of open data of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is updated. The new version of the geoportal uses the technology of connecting application libraries to the GIS WebService SE geo-service, which made it possible to model and evaluate the potential consequences of emergencies in various scenarios. When constructing an emergency model, the terrain features, relief, vegetation and weather conditions are taken into account. The geoportal contains systematic information about the units of the Ministry of Emergencies, rescue military units, potentially dangerous facilities and individual objects of transport infrastructure. When forming this data, information from open resources was used: the official website of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies, Wikipedia, Russia's Arms, Military Russia, OpenStreetMap and others.

    The geoportal is designed for evaluation purposes, it demonstrates the capabilities of the serial software products of KB "Panorama" (GIS WebServer SE, GIS Web Toolkit SE, GIS WebService SE) and is an example of their use. The geo-portal of open data of EMERCOM of Russia allows you to simulate the situation as a result of an emergency in the following scenarios: a terrorist attack, an emergency of technogenic (at biological, chemical, radiation-hazardous facilities and others) and natural characters (fire, flood, flooding, mudflows/landslides and others).

    Algorithms for calculating the consequences of emergencies are implemented on the basis of guides and guidelines. With the obtained simulation results, various analytical tasks can be carried out: an estimating the number of buildings, personnel, population that fell into the affected areas; selection of objects at a given distance from the epicenter; checking transport accessibility to the epicenter of the accident; building a route to the epicenter of the accident; estimation of the approximate number of people who fell into the emergency zone, according to a given population density.

    All results of modelling, including the spatial data, it is possible to print or save into a file for the subsequent use. In addition, the Geoportal provides standard capabilities for working with spatial data (working with a map, selecting and viewing a territory, selecting objects on a map, and others).

  • 19.02.2020 Article about technologies of creating and applying spatial data for automated vehicle control is published
    The KB "Panorama" systematized the experience of applying the software technologies "Panorama" to create and use spatial data in the field of automation of traffic control of vehicles.

    Modern cars have long been able to brake and accelerate on their own, to determine their location and distance to obstacles. Cars are equipped with an increasing number of sensors and equipments of technical vision. To achieve the maximum level of vehicles automation and solving the growing transport needs in the world the intelligent transport systems (ITS) are being developed. ITS is the result of combining modern modeling technologies, real-time control, as well as communication technologies.

    The use of digital maps in ITS will allow to implement the autonomous movement of vehicles in adverse weather conditions, at night, without equipping the road infrastructure with expensive equipment, as well as to minimize operating costs for maintaining the system.

    KB Panorama has tested technologies of creating, updating and publishing spatial data about structural elements of the road, lanes, road markings, road signs and traffic lights in the form of a digital road model (DRM). DRM database is implemented as a cloud service in which digital data about the road and other information that somehow affect the road situation are consolidated.

    Technology of creating and using the DRM, described in the article, will provide developers of highly automated vehicles with high-precision digital maps and navigation data necessary for constructing planned lines of the car’s movement in a dynamically changing road-transport environment.

    As part of the software for maintaining the DRM, several components should be distinguished. Automated technologies for preparation of digital information about the road are implemented in the GIS "Panorama". Web-services and services of publishing DRM data that support an information exchange with external databases and consumers of spatial data are implemented by means of GIS WebService SE and GIS WebServer SE. GIS ToolKit and GIS WebToolKit provide API and SDK tools for developing applications for controlling an automated vehicle based on DRM data. The catalog of spatial objects that characterize the elements of the road, road service, patterns and conditions of traffic is implemented on the basis of the digital classifier road2000.rsc, which contains the necessary list of objects for creating objects and layers of DRM.

  • 18.02.2020 Specialists of KB Panorama held a master class on creating three-dimensional terrain models at an international conference in Moscow
    13-14 February, 2020 the 11th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Geodesy, Mine Survey and Aerial Photography" was held in Moscow. As part of this event, the project manager of KB Panorama Alexander Kirichenko held a master class on the topic "Dynamic 3D-terrain models. Variants of creation and types of source data".

    At the master class, the participants of the event were shown the capabilities of 3D modeling in the GIS "Panorama" and GIS WebServer SE software products, namely the construction of three-dimensional terrain models using a wide variety of source data: vector map, matrix of heights, a triangulation model of the relief and terrain, point cloud, three-dimensional models of objects, aerial photography data, three-dimensional tiles.

    Also on the master class it has been told about the tile representation of three-dimensional data - about a format that contains a pyramid of the scales of a three-dimensional model in the form of small blocks for each level. The using this format allows you to solve the problem of large amounts of data and their transmission in the case of using WEB-applications.

    The 11th International Scientific and Practical Conference turned out to be an excellent platform for the exchange of experience and acquaintance with the latest trends and innovations of Russian and foreign companies in the field of geodesy, mine-survey and aerial photography.

    In KB "Panorama" the training-presentation materials on construction of "Dispatch centre" geoportal were prepared. The geoportal is created with use of GIS-toolkit for development of GIS WebToolKit SE web-applications. The dispatch center allows you to display routes of movement of vehicles for an arbitrary date and receive information about each point of movement. Routes are constructed in the form of linear and point objects. At construction it is possible to set color of the object. It is possible to display several routes at once on different dates, each point of the route contains information about the time. The constructed routes can be saved on a local computer in the GeoJSON format for further processing and analysis.

    PostgreSQL database is used to store information about vehicle coordinates. GPS/GLONASS trackers provide information about the current position, time and condition of the car. Data is transmitted over HTTP protocol, using a packet data transfer GPRS (General Packet Radio Service). The mechanism of receiving and analysis of data is implemented in PHP. Use of any other ways of data receiving is possible. The route is drawn in the client’s browser, which receives all the necessary data in the GeoJSON format. The route is added into the "Map Content" panel's tree as a separate layer. "Dispatch centre" is implemented as a plug-in application of GIS WebServer SE.

    Geoportal allows you to lay optimal driving directions between two points. To do this, use the component of building driving directions - "Routes". Route calculation is performed on the server using the road graph. The graph of roads is constructed onto all territory of the Russian Federation. Access to cartographic data (images, vector maps, and terrain information) is provided by Web services using generally accepted OGC protocols and ISO standards. Service of GIS WebService SE (OGC WMS/WMTS) provides spatial information in the form of graphic images. Terrain data is presented in the form of tiles and is cached on the client.

    GIS WebServer SE is used in the construction of closed corporate systems to ensure the protection of data having a security classification or a trade secret. GIS WebServer SE is certified for Level 2 of absence of undeclared capabilities. GIS WebToolKit SE is implemented using the toolkit of GIS WebToolKit SE, which can be used in development tools that use the JavaScript.

  • 07.02.2020 Tools of GIS WebToolKit SE allows to integrate geoinformation systems into web projects
    In KB "Panorama" the examples of using the tools of GIS WebToolKit SE in web projects are developed. Examples demonstrate the possibility of using GIS technologies in finished and developing projects. Spatial data can easily be added onto any page of the site and interaction between the web application and the GIS is organized. The examples demonstrate the display of terrain maps, remote sensing data, aerial and satellite imagery materials, matrixes of heights and other spatial data on the site pages, in a separate browser window and in a frame.

    Methods of organizing interaction between applications, methods of establishing link between objects are shown. The updated documentation describes an example of working with a database, which allows you to display tables, establish a logical link between database objects and map objects, search for objects by table records and vice versa, using the mechanism of linked records.
    The GIS WebToolKit SE tools allows you to create web applications that display cartographic information about the area, get information about the characteristics of map objects, create new ones and edit existing objects. Provides access to the infrastructure of spatial data (vector, raster, matrix maps, remote sensing data), performing of special calculations. It can be used on Linux-based systems.

    In KB "Panorama" the GIS Constructor for Qt Designer SE version 13 was developed for the CentOS 7 operating system. The new version improves the reliability of working the multithreaded GIS applications that process spatial data hosted on the GIS Server. GIS application in the background mode monitors the status of virtual channels and, if necessary, reconnects. GIS Constructor implements support for a single geographic information space managed by servers of spatial data (GIS Server) and application servers (GIS WebService SE). Due to the ability to connect to the GIS Server, users of GIS applications can directly connect to geospatial data bases, view and edit tables in the form of maps in specified conventional symbols. Support for interaction with the GIS WebServiсe SE allows you to access spatial data according to international standards OGC WMS, WMTS.

    CentOS (Community ENTerprise Operating System) is the popular distribution kit Linux based on commercial Red Hat Enterprise Linux and compatible with it. The distribution kit consists of the free software with the open code. The source codes for the operating system is provided under the GPL licence. The operating system is reliable and flexible in configuration, supported by a large community of developers, thanks to which it is constantly being developed and updated.

    GIS Constructor is a set of geoinformation components for use in the visual programming environment of Qt Designer, which allows you to develop your own GIS applications. The visualization of the contents of digital maps is made in conventional symbols adopted for topographic, geographical and various special maps. Geoinformation system has ample opportunities for performing calculations, for providing display of spatial data on various graphic devices in standard and user systems of conventional symbols. The main functions can be executed in multithreaded mode. It supports automatic optimization of used memory for processing large amounts of data (tens of gigabytes) on limited resources (hundreds of megabytes).

    The toolkit is adapted to work on a wide range of platforms and supports operating systems such as Astra Linux SE, MSVS, CRTOS "Neutrino", "Elbrus", "Zarya", Ubuntu, Alt Linux, QNX, CentOS and others.     On February 13-14, 2020, the 11th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Geodesy, Mine Survey and Aerial Photography" will be held in Moscow. Within the framework of this event, the specialists of KB Panorama will hold a master class the "Dynamic 3D-terrain models. Variants of creation and types of source data." Possibilities of software products the GIS "Panorama", GIS "Operator", GIS WebServer SE and others will be demonstrated to participants of event.

    The three-dimensional terrain model in the geographic information system is a three-dimensional dynamically changing scene, consisting of terrain, ground, underground stationary and moving objects. For its construction, a wide variety of source data can be used: a vector map, a matrix of heights, a triangulation model of the relief and terrain, a point cloud, three-dimensional models of objects, aerial photographs, and three-dimensional tiles. In addition to such a variety of source data, the process of transmitting data and displaying a three-dimensional terrain model is complicated by the large amount of data and limitations of the transmission channels in the case of using WEB applications. This entails the need to create an optimal 3D terrain model.

    The solution to the problem of large amounts of data and their transmission can become a tile representation of three-dimensional data - a format that contains a pyramid of the scales of a three-dimensional model in the form of small blocks for each level.     In KB "Panorama" the GIS WebServer SE version 5.2 is developed for operating systems Astra Linux, CentOS and Windows. The new version of 3D map displays more detailed three-dimensional terrain models while maintaining high speed. The completely updated core of the 3D component allows you to increase the detail of the display up to 8 times. The screen refresh rate is up to 30 frames per second. Function of viewing the map in the "skeleton" mode is added to assess the complexity of scene models. It is possible to familiarise with new possibilities of a three-dimensional map on examples of model of Kronstadt and the simplified model of the city of Noginsk.

    The toolkit of developing the Web-applications the GIS WebToolKit SE has been improved, which expands possibilities of GIS WebServer SE and can be integrated into other information systems. The 3D map component has expanded the list of labor-intensive tasks performed outside the main stream. There are added fundamental classes of the component (vectors, matrixes, geographic coordinates, spheroids), as well as algorithms and infrastructures (for example, message queue). Various types of high-altitude data are used as a digital elevation model: matrixes (in the formats SRTM, GeoTIFF, IMG, MTW), TIN-models, point cloud and others. The service provides the ability to publish three-dimensional terrain models unloaded in DB3D format. These models can be obtained from files of the COLLADA type, as well as from photorealistic three-dimensional models of unlimited size (TLS, OC3).

  • 30.01.2020 Imagery Creator expands the list of formats for created pyramids of tiles for integration with existing information systems
    Imagery Creator version 10 for the Windows, Astra Linux, and CentOS operating systems was developed at KB "Panorama". The new version of the program has expanded the ability to create pyramids of tiles for integration with existing information systems. Imagery Creator can be integrated into the Databank, simplifying the process of creating tiles for a particular information system. Users can specify the format of the name of the tiles and their storage structure, for example, scale/row/row_column.png, scale/row/column.png, scale/column/row.png.
    In the new version, the process of forming the tiles for Big Data data is several times faster by creating a tree-like data storage structure. There are added the parameters for adjusting the quality and speed of tile formation (enable/disable smoothing for lines, polygons, titles; printer/screen view; loading maps into RAM). Possibility is implemented for cutting tiles by rasters and matrixes "on the fly", without preliminary transformation of data. It will allow to save time on additional preparation of data. The program has improved the administrator interface, added the ability to specify the path to the configuration files.

    The program allows you to create tiles in the formats JPEG, PNG, PNG8, Mbtiles, BIR and GeoPackage according to the international standard OGC WMTS 07-057r7 version 1.0.0, the standard TMS and OGC 12-128r15 GeoPackage version 1.2.1. The tile data generated by the Imagery Creator program is used by the GIS WebServer SE, GIS WebService SE software to provide high-speed execution of requests for displaying spatial data to large territories with the simultaneous access of a large number of users.

  • 28.01.2020 Complex of preparing documents of aeronautical information performs calculations of schemes for parallel runways, forms the schemes of vectoring and maps of minimum safe heights
    In KB "Panorama" the Complex of preparing documents of the aeronautical information version 7.3 for the GIS "Panorama" 13 has been developed. The new version implements the task of constructing the vectoring schemes of aircrafts Merge-Point. This scheme allows you to streamline air traffic in congested airports, optimizing arrival patterns. The task "Constructed flight routes" is supplemented by the function of constructing schemes for the simultaneous use of parallel runways. New possibilities are implemented on the basis of document ICAO Doc 9643 "Manual on Simultaneous Operations on Parallel or near parallel Instrument Runways (SOIR)". They allow to perform the construction and calculation schemes of departure, final stage of landing and departure to the second round when shared using two parallel runways. Functions for entering points, routes and airfields are supplemented by the mode of automatic calculation of magnetic declination based on the WMM2015 model.

    Work of ARINC converter is improved, where the import and export operations into a map and into a database are divided. In the new version, the algorithm for simultaneous use of several tasks by the same user within the same workplace (simultaneous launch of two or more tasks) has been improved.

    Complex of preparing documents of the aeronautical information is intended for the creation and maintenance of a database of aeronautical information, the formation of aeronautical maps, the designing of flight routes for aircraft and the exchange of data with other information systems. Information exchange is carried out in ARINC and AIXM 5.1 formats. The main source of aeronautical information is the aeronautical data base created on the basis of the Aeronautical Information Conceptual Model (AICM), with additions for storing the planned information and the results of the routes designing. The model is recommended by the international organization for planning and coordination of air traffic "Eurocontrol".

  • 27.01.2020 In the journal "Geoprofi" the article about technology of automated generalization for creation of multiscale maps is published
    In the journal "Geoprofi" (№ 6, 2019) the article "Technology of automated generalization for creation of multiscale maps" is published. It describes the technology of automated creation of maps of a smaller scale by a large-scale map with the help of KB "Panorama" software products.

    The considered technology includes many stages: formation of a nomenclature sheet of a map of a derivative scale, simplification of the metric description of objects, recoding objects, sequential generalization of a relief, hydrography, road network, settlements, objects of small length or area. One of the rules by which generalization is performed is that each object should be visible in the range of scales of displaying the digital map specified for it.

    The main purpose of technology of automated generalization is to reduce the time required to create multiscale maps. To implement this feature, KB Panorama has developed specialized software called "Automated generalization of digital topographic maps", which is an additional module for the universal GIS "Panorama". Currently, the module has accelerated processing of large map regions. So, the process of converting 36 sheets of a map of scale 1: 100 000 into 9 sheets of a map of scale 1: 200 000 on a computer with an average performance will take less than two hours (up to 15 minutes per sheet).

  • 23.01.2020 In "Complex of hydrological problems" the possibilities of constructing flood zones are expanded
    In KB "Panorama" the "Complex of hydrological tasks" versions 6 for the GIS "Panorama" version 13 is developed. In the new version of the program, the task "Building a zone of flood by marks of a water level" of the "Flooding” panel is improved. The task forms a matrix of qualities (MTQ), containing values of depths of a flood zone. To automate the process of constructing flood zones, a new mode of creating a set of depths matrixes by TXT-files from the selected directory has been developed. The mode allows you to speed up the process of constructing flood zones in the case of a large number of source data files.

    The "Complex of hydrological tasks" is intended for modelling the water filling of pools, and also for construction of flood zones and zones of drainage in the form of matrixes of depths. The complex includes 30 functional tasks providing creation and loading from external formats of matrixes of a relief of a bottom of considered pool, execution of calculations by bottom's matrixes, construction of zones of flooding and drainage in the form of matrixes of depths. The complex contains tools for constructing isolines by matrixes of surfaces, creating polygons by homogeneous matrixes zones, creations of objects by the crossing, constructions of zones around objects. Results of work of the complex can be saved in a text format, as well as in EMF and MS Word formats. The vector map objects formed by the tasks of the complex can be exported to SXF, TXF formats. The complex is implemented as part of the GIS "Panorama", that allows to use for modelling and calculations the data from various external sources: geoportals, web-services, remote sensing data, maps and matrixes of heights under the control of the GIS Server, thematic databases.

    Specialists of KB "Panorama" completed the preparation of training and presentation materials about the professional GIS "Panorama" version 13. The presentation "Geoinformation system" Panorama" demonstrated new technical solutions in the field of creation, editing and preparation of digital data. An automatic clustering algorithm has been implemented to display tightly located point signs, a new task called "Matrix of depths building" was developed, intended for creating matrixes of depths by a set of sea maps of IHO S52 standard with the s57navy.rsc classifier.
    There is demonstrated the task of "Import of a spatial database", which is designed to generate a digital vector map based on spatial information stored in a database. In the training and presentation materials, the procedures for loading three-dimensional terrain models from the Collada (DAE) format into the database of three-dimensional DB3D tiles are reflected.

  • 20.01.2020 "Workstation of urban planner" supports the accounting of objects of a single real estate complex
    In KB "Panorama" the "Workstation of urban-planner" version 13.0.4 is developed. The new version of the program has expanded the capabilities of accounting and storage of objects of a single immovable complex. A single immovable complex is a combination of buildings, structures, and other things united by a single purpose, inextricably linked physically or technologically, including linear objects (railways, power lines, pipelines), or located on one land plot.

    The register of objects of a single immovable complex provides storage of the accounting and technical characteristics of the complex and all cadastral objects included into its composition. Due to the spatial and logical connections, there is ensured an integration with the registers of land, buildings and structures. The composition of the stored data includes various cadastral documentation, schemes, plans, drawings, images, accounting and technical characteristics and information about the copyright holders. The location of a single immovable complex on the map is provided.

    In the "Workstation of urban planner", along with various real estate objects, information on land plots and their owners is stored. Maintaining urban development regulations for the use of territories allows us to establish rules for the use of land plots and capital construction objects.

    Automation of the formation of spatial and logical relationships between the considered real estate and land plots simplifies the use of the software package. The "What the subject owns" mode allows you to get complete information about the property of the copyright holder.

    To create a cadastral plan of the territory, a loading of information from the XML files of the Federal Register is used. The synchronization mode allows you to configure the relationship between the semantics of cadastral map objects and the information stored in the database.

    A special place in the program is occupied by the section with documents, which allows you to store various attributive information about documents. Documents can be grouped by type, purpose, regional affiliation and other user data. A document record may contain various attributes that the user himself creates and assigns to a group of documents. Files that can be viewed and edited in a specialized program are attached to the document record. One document can be used for several land plots and objects of real estate. Flexible customization of stored information in a database allows to use the "Workstation of the urban-planner" not only for the urban development purposes, but also for accounting for lands and objects of real estate.

  • 14.01.2020 The section of video lessons in English is supplemented with materials on the possibilities of the GIS "Panorama" for the exchange of spatial data in MID/MIF format
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" prepared the video lesson "Import/export data from the Mapinfo-files". The material is intended for English-speaking users independently studying possibilities of the GIS "Panorama". From the video lesson, users will learn how to import/export MapInfo data in the GIS "Panorama".

    The first part of the lesson discusses the the mode's work "Import of vector maps from MIF/MID format". The converter allows you to import data into a user map created automatically by the program or by the user manually. During converting, the import of the attributive information about objects and its saving in semantics of objects is carried out. In this case, the source data can be both in geodetic coordinates, and in rectangular.

    The final part of the video lesson demonstrates how to work with dialog "Save Map to MIF/MID format". In addition to the basic information about the current file of the work region ("Name", "Source map" and "Output folder"), the following groups of control elements are examined in detail: "Input Data", "Statistic", "Data processing status", "Options".     In KB "Panorama" the Imagery Service version 8.4.2 is developed for operating systems CentOS and Astra Linux SE (Release "Smolensk"). In the new version a support of domain authorization for the GIS Server is added. The mode of deleting tiles for the project is implemented. It allows you to delete tiles to certain territories, scales and matrixes that are specified in the program settings.

    Panorama Imagery Service is a Linux service designed to create and update tile pyramids in PNG, PNG8 or JPEG formats using spatial data managed by the GIS Server program. Pyramids of tiles are published using OGC WMTS protocol by service the GIS WebService SE. As the clients of services, there can be various GIS supporting the OGC WMTS protocol and users of the GIS WebServer SE program. Pyramids of tiles can be created on the base of a combination of digital vector maps, space and aerial photography, matrixes of elevations, data from geoportals and other data.

    The program supports standard tile pyramids: GlobalCRS84Scale (standard matrix for representing spatial data in EPSG:4326 projection), GlobalCRS84Pixel (matrix for intuitive representation of spatial data), GoogleCRS84Quad (matrix compatible with Google data in EPSG:4326 projection), GoogleMapsCompatible (matrix compatible with Google data in EPSG:3857 projection, also used in Google Maps) and others. To read the source data, Panorama Imagery Service can connect to the GIS Server or open data sets on the local network. The program monitors data changes - by the transaction log for vector data, by the time of updating raster and matrix data, and automatically updates the tiles on which the changes occurred.

  • 08.01.2020 In GIS Panorama Mini the tools of access to geospatial databases are expanded
    In KB "Panorama" the Panorama Mini version 13.0.4 for the x64 platform is developed. In the new version a support of the international format OGC 12-128r15 GeoPackage version 1.2.1 (*.gpkg) is added. This format is a SQLite 3 database that stores tiles of various formats, their coordinate system, matrixes of descriptions, and metadata. GeoPackage format is used in applications for providing access to spatial information: maps, images, matrixes of elevations. The format can be used in cloud storages and for simplifying the exchange of information, since all data is stored in one file.
    Ability is added to receive and display packed pyramids of tiles from GIS Server. Pyramids of tiles can be in BIR, Mbtiles formats, stored in a database managed by SQLite DBMS. Pyramids of tiles can be created in the Imagery Creator program, including in the environment of the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data, using vector maps, remote sensing data and matrixes of heights of relief and terrain objects. Access to tiles pyramids can be offline without the use of server applications, as well as in client-server mode through GIS WebService SE via the OGC WMTS protocol or through the GIS Server. When accessing client-server mode, the tiles that were accessed are automatically cached on the client's computer, similar to working through a web browser.
    The task of connecting geoportals has been improved. List of connected geoportals is updated. Data from geoportals can be connected as a background to user data for solving various application tasks (validation, printing reports, reconciling data and others). Vector layers obtained by the OGC WFS protocol can serve as initial data. The program supports a monitoring of changes and tracking moving objects in a near-real time mode. If the geoportal or service supports the OGC WFS-T transaction protocol, then the task allows not only to receive, display objects and monitor their updates, but also to edit them, transferring changes to the server to display these changes to other clients. Displaying all geoportals is accelerated. There is added the ability to display and save data from Rosreestr geoportals without duplicating signatures on the screen in various projections, including for local coordinate systems. Displaying the Rosreestr geoportal is significantly accelerated upon repeated calls.
    Support for GSK-2011 and PZ-90.11 coordinate systems is implemented. The creation of maps in the GSK-2011 system, the conversion of projections and coordinate systems of maps, matrixes and rasters is provided. The new national coordinate systems were adopted by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 28, 2012 N 1463 "On unified state coordinate systems".
    A new type of maps, Topographic PZ-90.11 (Pulkovo2017), based on the use of the ellipsoid PZ-90.11 and the Gauss-Krueger projection, has been added into the "View Passport" task. As system of heights the Average level of world ocean (geoid) corresponding to the EGM2008 model is established. Support for a new type of map is added into the task "Creation of rule". In the dialogs for recalculating and displaying the coordinates of the current point on the map, the coordinate system PZ-90.02 was replaced by PZ-90.11.
    Into the map passport the property "Use alternative fonts" is added. This property is necessary, for example, for the correct display of OSM maps in national languages using the standard classifier map5000m.rsc. The classifier includes topographic fonts in which not all language encoding are implemented. The installation includes the altfonts.xml file, in which for such fonts the alternative fonts supporting the required encoding are specified.
    To split the set of point signs into groups and display them, the algorithm of an automatic clustering is implemented. In the "Classifier Editor" tools of clusters description are added. Description includes: views of objects relating to each type of cluster, cell sizes vertically and horizontally, semantics code to indicate the current number of objects in the cluster, view of a conventional sign of a cluster, a limiting percent of magnifying the size of a cluster's sign and the limiting number of objects, and the limiting number of objects, corresponding to the maximum size of the cluster sign. The cluster symbol can be programmable, that allows you by various ways to set off a type of a cluster and to change properties of a sign depending on number of objects in a cluster (signature of the number, size of a sign, brightness). When grouping in a virtual cluster cell more than one object of a given type, their conventional signs will automatically be replaced by a conventional sign of the cluster, the center of which will have an average coordinate of the objects included in it. When you change the scale, the cluster configuration automatically changes. Maps with clusters customized in the RSC classifier are automatically supported in all desktop and web applications, as well as in applications developed in the GIS ToolKit and GIS Constructor.
    Algorithm of creating signatures of objects according to their semantic characteristics is changed. At updating semantics of object there are automatically updated the corresponding semantics of all signatures created for the object in the "Map Editor" or in the task of "Creation of titles by objects semantics". The task of creating titles by objects semantics, taking into account the processing of multipolygons selected on the map, has been improved. A title is formed for each contour that belongs to the multipolygon and is put in accordance with the dialog settings.
    "Map Editor" task is improved. In the mode of creating a linear object, a new option "Add to object" is added, which provides a joining of the created contour to the contour of the already existing linear object on the map. The mode of the map editor "Paste & Cut - Cut of polygon object by object" has been improved. When cutting a polygon object, support of multipolygons is added. When an ordinary polygon object is cut, the result is ordinary polygonal ones. When cutting a multipolygon, the result is a multipolygon.
    "Select Object" dialog has been improved. In order to increase the information content of the object’s scheme, the color of the contours has been changed in the "Metric" bookmark: for ordinary objects, the main contour now is displayed in blue color, and subobjects - in pink color. In multipolygons, all external contours are displayed in blue color, the rest - in pink. The new color scheme allows you visually to verify the correctness of the subobjects occurrence. On the "Semantics" bookmark, the ability to disable sorting of the object characteristics table has been added. Data will be displayed in the sequence of their addition to the map object. Enabling/Disabling sorting can be done through the "Sort" context menu item.
    The mode "Image shutter" is improved. By means of this mode the analysis of various overlapping opaque images can be made by shifting their borders. Possibility to apply the "shutter" for matrixes and geoportals is added. The mode is started through the main menu View/Image shutter. The task "Saving vector map into file of BMP, TIFF, RSW format" has been improved. The mode of page-by-page saving of the map image to graphic files by page format is added.

    Updating the Panorama Mini version 12 to version 13 till June, 1st, 2020 is free for users who purchased the Panorama Mini version 12 after December, 1st, 2018, as well as for those who have a valid technical support agreement for version 12.   • 06.01.2020 Maps of the regions of the Ural Federal District were updated on the geoportal "Bank of spatial data"
    On the geoportal "Bank of spatial data", the maps of regions of the Ural Federal District, which were formed according to OpenStreetMap data, were updated.

    The composition of the maps includes Kurgan, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk Oblasts, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra. The source data was obtained from the Geofabrik website. For work with the maps it is possible to use the program of GIS Panorama Mini or other software products of KB "Panorama".

    The maps were led to the modernised classifier of large-scale plans of scale 1: 5 000 (map5000m.rsc). Publishing of updates in bank of spatial data is made by using the program of Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data. Publishing contents of bank of spatial data on the geoportal and data access for downloading are implemented by means of GIS WebServer SE.

    Free maps on the basis of OpenStreetMap data are available for download on the page "Digital maps and images".

  • 03.01.2020 The professional vectorizer "Panorama-editor" has improved the technology of automated generalization and quality control of topographic maps
    In KB "Panorama" the professional vectorizer "Panorama-Editor" version 13.0.4 for the x64 platform is developed. In the new version, automated generalization of maps has been improved. Processing of large regions of maps is accelerated. On a computer with average performance the conversion of 36 sheets of a map of scale 1: 100 000 into 9 sheets of a map of scale 1: 200 000 takes less than two hours (up to 15 minutes per sheet). And with it there are performed a filtering and generalizing the contours of objects, transformation of the narrow areal rivers into linear ones, an assigning the thickness of the rivers (thickening from source to mouth), a restricting the boundaries of visibility of rivers and roads of low significance, selecting buildings in compact planning, a leveling the buildings along roads, a creating the objects of the mathematical basis, a signing the objects with new types of symbols according to the semantics of objects.
    The task "Quarters generalisation" has been refined, designed for automatic uniting of closely located same-type quarters and adjustment of quarters with linear objects of the road network. In order to eliminate the contradictory overlap of the objects of the map of the derived scale, there are added the processes of adjustment of quarters and removing the buildings in the area of quarters with black filling.
    In the new version of the program, algorithms of generalization for small objects have been improved: adjustment of objects adjacent to deleted ones. The processing of small reservoirs has been accelerated, during the processing of which the search for adjacent cover objects (forests, meadows) and the uniting the removed small reservoirs with adjacent cover objects are performed. The uniting is performed if there is the presence of a significant area (contour) of adjacency of the analyzed objects. Parameters files for the modes have been refined: formation of output map, recoding objects, generalization of small objects, title of objects. Customizing filters of the objects processed at formation of an output map is simplified. The new method allows to perform faster and more flexible customization of the objects types copied onto the output map. The quality of signing the names of settlements has been improved: a new algorithm for selecting a place for signing perform a search for the most free place from the contours. New signatures are implemented in the form of vector symbols containing complex signatures that are used to sign characteristics of bridges, dams, locks, dams, ferries, fords, forests, settlements and other objects.
    Complex signatures allow you to automatically adapt the type of signature taking into account the presence or absence of objects characteristics. It is enough to add, delete or change the semantics of such symbol and the type of signature automatically changes. This approach allows you to completely replace obsolete types of characters with the localization of "Mixed" with vector symbols. Classifiers 25t05gm.rsc, 50t05gm.rsc, 100t05gm.rsc, 200t05gm.rsc, 500t05gm.rsc, 1m05gm.rsc are updated, and also there are added the files of parameters of maps generalization of scales from 1: 25 000 to 1: 1 000 000.
    The program has expanded the list of tasks for automated processing of vector maps in the task "Map processing according to the scenario." The new task "Correction of object metrics" is developed. It performs the removal of outliers and double points in the specified tolerance; removal of the initial and final coincident segments of linear objects; cutting contours of linear objects at the junction points; cutting contours of areal objects at points of junction and self-intersection; conversion of multilines into simple lines; transformation of multipolygons into simple areal objects with internal subobjects.

    In the program of correcting the metric of objects a processing of multipolygons is accelerated. For example, time of correcting the metric of a test set of maps with more than 3 million objects was reduced from 5 hours to 30 minutes, and about 50 thousand topology errors were corrected. Upon completion of work, the number of corrected errors is recorded into the log "View error". The task is called through the main menu: Tools - Map processing by scenario - Correction of object metrics.
    The task "Checking the quality of a vector map" has been improved. Checking the vector map is carried out in accordance with the selected control scheme containing a list of types and parameters of checking. The format of the checking parameters schema file has been changed from binary CXM to textual XML. In the \Control.Dot\ folder, the XML files for control parameters schemes with the extension * .CXML have been updated.
    In the task "Vector map Checking", the automatic correction of the metric of areal and linear objects has been improved. In polygon objects, there are removed the outliers and vertex duplications, all types of self-crossings, crossings of contours and errors of locations of subjects are corrected. Adjacent contours of one object are combined, intersecting contours are divided into separate objects. In the objects having errors of locations of subjects, the description order is corrected: the subject having the maximum area becomes the main one, the subjects located inside other subjects are stored into separate objects. In linear objects, there are removed the outliers and vertexes duplications, coinciding segments, the self-joining is corrected (joining of non-consecutive segments of one contour). The contours having the self-joining, are divided into separate objects. To correct the metrics of objects, it is necessary to perform "Check of self-crossings and locations of subjects" in the "Edit" mode. The corrected objects have a topologically correct metric description, which provides the calculation of correct areas, simplifies the construction of road network graphs, and allows you to combine and cut areas of vector data according to specified conditions. Automatic correction of the metrics of map objects allows you to speed up the processing of vector maps obtained from any sources that do not have a strict standard for checking the metric information.
    In the task the "Checking the quality of a vector map" according to a control scheme, tools of checking the metadata of the map are added. Metadata is formed by the task the "Map passport" according the standards of ISO 19115:2003, Geographic information - Metadata and ISO/TS 19139, Geographic information - Metadata - XML schema implementation. Metadata is saved in the XML format as a separate file onto each sheet of the map. Metadata allows you to enter additional information about the map (data on the manufacturer, data on the technology of creation) and use it in the conducting the automated banks of the spatial data.

There is added the ability to run multiple instances of the GIS "Panorama-editor" program for execution of checking various vector maps with issuing reports in HTML format (a report in MS Word is executed from only one program). The output of reporting documents into an HTML file is based on a pre-prepared template. For the "Checking the quality of a vector map" task, a template for the HTML document mapcontr.htm was created in a text editor. The template defines the main structure of an HTML document and contains its settings, such as fonts, page settings, formatting, and styles. Upon termination of working the "Checking the quality of a vector map" program, the HTML report files with the control results for each card and the final report containing information on the results of processing all the maps will be saved in the directory for placing output maps and reporting documents.

    On the basis of classifiers of digital topographic maps (DTM) of 1:50 000 and 1: 100 000 scales, modernized classifiers 50t05gm.rsc and 100t05gm.rsc were prepared, intended for the automated generalization and automation of the creating and updating DTM. The modernized DTM combines the basic properties of a topographic and navigation map. With the help of the task "Creating of passages in settlements" and prepared classifiers, streets and passages in settlements are automatically formed. Tools of automated control and correction of the quality of digital maps provide control of the topology according to the metrics of objects. By created streets and passages along with the road network objects when solving Navigation tasks a graph of roads is formed. A complete road and street network in settlements increases the degree of automation in the forming the maps of smaller scales (generalization). Significantly the composition of the layers is reduced by combining the data of the same type. The order of displaying objects in the classifier is set in accordance with the priority of the layers and the priority of objects in the layer, which makes it unnecessary to use additional layers. In the properties of some objects that are not used in practice when creating a DTM based on remote sensing data, the sign "Obsolete object" is set. Obsolete objects are not displayed in the objects list of the "Create object" dialog, unless the "Obsolete objects" field is enabled. This allows you to store in classifier the objects from the obsolete classifiers "05" and "09" for compatibility, but not display them when creating and updating the map to facilitate the selection of actual types of objects. For the automatic formation of labels using the task "Automatic labels alignment", the corresponding labels are customized according to the semantics of the objects.

    Into the program composition the classifiers of conventional symbols emercom.v2.rsc and map5000m.rsc are added. The classifier of conventional symbols emercom.v2.rsc has been developed for the preparation of cartographic information in the field of civil defense, prevention and liquidation of consequences of emergencies by governing bodies, civil defense forces and the unified state system for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations (RSChS). In the classifier there is implemented a general list of layers, objects and attributive characteristics of objects that provide solutions to problems in the field of civil defense, prevention and liquidation of consequences of natural and man-made emergencies. The emercom.v2.rsc classifier contains the information: about territories, zones, objects, forces and means affecting the problems of organization, planning and conduct of measures for civil defense and the protection of the population and territories; about the forecast and operational situation arising in the course of military conflicts or as a result of these conflicts, as well as during emergencies of a natural and man-made nature; about planning and conducting activities on civil defense, prevention and liquidation of consequences of emergencies of a natural and man-made character. The modernized classifier of large-scale plans of a scale 1: 5 000 the map5000m.rsc is designed to create topographic plans of cities or city plans in the local coordinate system of scales of 1: 5000, which can be used in territorial planning, maintaining the land and property cadastre, in architecture and urban planning. The codes of the Information Cartographic Support approved by the Head of the VTU General Staff of the Russian Federation in 2007 are taken as the basis of object codes.
